Thank you for the maps CD82. This link will show you the actual area where the Appalachian Trail runs through in that location. Also, look at the list beside the map. I read above that someone picked them up and gave them a ride to Sugar Grove. There are a lot of camping areas from Troutdale to Sugar Grove, all very wooded area.

If you take a look toward the bottom of the red trail, you'll se Mt. Rogers and then a blue arrow to the left. That is the Troutdale-Sugar Grove area.

Thanks for the maps. There are so many shelters along the AT that they could be using. I hope somebody is passing out flyers to hikers along the trail. Could be dangerous if somebody comes across them unknowingly.

*US Marshals, Helicopter with thermal imaging, tracking hounds, and over 25 officers searching

*Vehicle was stuck in a ditch on a dead end road in a very remote area

*Command center set up in Galax, VA

I'm very happy the Marshals are involved, hopefully they can get them before something more horrible happens. If the car was found Tuesday then whatever "ping" they picked up on his phone in Morristown was to throw police off IMO. No phone, no car, in the middle of nowhere. I feel so bad for her poor parents, knowing their little girl is in the hands of a monster.

I was hoping I would come back and read that they'd been found already. I worry about it ending badly too. I just hope H will be found safe and 's a$$ goes back to jail and never sees the light of day again!
