Woman accused of murdering Sevier County man
The Sevier County Sheriff's Office has arrested a woman in connection to the December 10 death of a man at his home on Bob Hollow Road.
Krista Faye Owens, 38, of Sevierville, was arrested after allegedly shooting Billy Joe Huskey in his residence at 317 Bob Hollow Road at around 3:18 p.m. on December 10. Huskey was taken to U.T. Medical Center, where he later died.
A short time after officers responded to the incident, Owens was taken into custody in the woods near the residence after it was reported that she had fled the home on foot. Owens was arrested on an outstanding warrant and has been held since the incident.
A Sevier County Grand Jury returned an indictment on Wednesday that charges Owens with first degree murder, aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, aggravated burglary and attempted first degree murder.
Owens was given an additional $750,000 bond for the charges.
