I think the defense was trying to show that the Waste Co guy could not have seen four people inside the forerunner if it was dark.
So glad the Pros. asked if the head lights were on. That makes a difference.

I think Daphne will be the best witness placing GT at the house during the time Channon would have been there.

I think you are right about Daphne putting him there.

In my opinion, the best defense strategy would be to ADMIT he was there... but claim he was PETRIFIED of LD and was afraid to do anything to set him off (like pointing a rifle at him).

George's problem is that if he wasnt at the house, where was he? He had no other friends there, he had no car, no phone. There is no way the jury will believe he wasnt in the house.

Don't get me started either! These separate trials are a bone of contention w me because so many of the bad facts can be compartmentalized... and there is no integral or final accounting or reckoning of them as a whole. Nevermind how grueling this has been for these poor families.

My opinion too (which you may remember from the last trial.) This is ONE crime. They are blaming each other and telling stories implicating the others while trying to protect themselves. This is what our jury system should be used for. Put 'em all in one courtroom with one jury and let that jury figure it all out. But NO, somone that violates defendants' rights. Boo, frigging hoo. IMO, not doing it that way violates everybody else's right and stands in the way of justice truly being served.

If Defense makes too much of an attempt to say he wasnt there, and the jury believes that he was there, then if the Defense tries to claim he WAS there but was too scared to do anything, its not very believable.

Really, all of their plays feel weird, don't they? It is a gamble to expect a jury to accept and forgive sitting passively through all the horror, even if you can convince them that's all you did.

But they already admitted that he did nothing and it was reprehensible, so why go through all this to show he wasn't there when Ethyl said she saw him?

Didn't she say she saw him walking down the street, anyway? :waitasec: Why not run with that?
