William N, which jurors seemed to be hung up on the Daphne issue?

The 'Daphne issue' should not be relevant, except as to whether she should have also been charged or not... NOT towards VC's guilt!

No, it shouldn't, but some jurors may be looking for excuses to vote not guilty.

More than one but couldn't tell who was asking what.

I am hoping that changed with her journal entry about her big adventure she had.

Does this mean that VC will be testifying today?

Coleman's testimony will be posted on knoxnews.com as soon as she finishes testifying

Yes, the jurors had been asking a lot questions, but didn't have a single one when the journal entry was introduced and shown on the screen. It negated everything the defense had been saying in their cross examinations IMO.

Back in session.

There is no way, if I was a defense attorney, would I allow VC to testify. She has lied too much. I'm thinking the defense is hoping her little girl voice will help sway jury that VC is innocent. I'm hoping the jury remembers the journal entry that sounded like VC had the time of her life.

Wow, today!?!?!

I hope its a slow afternoon at work.

ETA: Can the prosecution have VC actually read her journal entry? That would really make it more "real". (If that's the word I'm going for.)

Oh boy, Mr Christian in trouble for confronting defense attorneys and their staff. Made derogetory staff. Gary says he has not spoken to them at all.

Oh no, Judge speaking to Channon's dad about derogatory comments to Colemans Lawyers, why can't these guys just shut up and get on with it. It does no good to attack the victims parents.

I am liking these defense attorneys less and less

The little girl voice is something I noticed when hearing the recordings of the police interviews. The defense hopes some jurors feel sorry for poor Vanessa, perhaps especially when TK cross-examines her. That might be enough for a hung jury on Channon's murder along with not guilty for Chris.

I believe that is the main idea for having her take the stand. The defense attorneys hope some jurors will feel sympathy for Vanessa. I write this as someone who has seen the jurors.

Lavit claims that he walks by and can hear, claims it's happened more than once and there comes a time you have to (complain?)

Judge says defense only doing it's job, respect the justice system, etc.

Bringing the jury in.

Lavit is saying that Mr. Christian said derogatory comments in passing, not directly. Lavit says he deals with this all the time as a defense attorney but hesitates to report it. So why does he report it this time? Yes, he's just doing his job but he must understand the anger that Mr. Christian has. I think if it had been me I would have let it go, no need to embarrass Mr. Christian.

Ahhh "David" Jennings. Sounded like Davidson and Jennings earlier.

First defense witness:
David Jennings, Asst US States Attorney.

I'm thinking Lavitt needs to get a thicker skin if he is going to continue to be a defense attorney.
