Friend of Chris Newsom, IIRC, he played golf that last day.

Played 36 holes of golf on Jan 6th. Came back to Josh's place, hung out. Get ready for night. Chris went home, picked up Josh to him to house for birthday party. Approx 20 people to be at party. Chris and Channon were going to go eat before going to party.

Started to worry Channon and Chris around 10 pm. Started calling, everybody at party was. Leaving voicemails, etc. Did that all night until they went to bed.

Woke up and still hadn't heard from either one of them. Sat around trying to figure out where they could be. Cara contacted Channon's parents around noon.

Around 11:30 pm went to Wash Ridge apartments to see if they were there. Chris' truck was there and Channon's wasn't. He thought that was strange because Chris' always drove. Josh took the golf clubs out the back of Chris' truck because they were getting rained on. Rang friends apartment no answer, looked inside truck to see if phone in it, couldn't tell. Truck was locked.

After Cara contacted Channon's parents sat around then decided to investigate themselves. Found out cell phone pinged. This was 5:30 ish. By then had contacted Chris' parents also. Got Chris keys from parents got Chris truck. Took it back to Chris house.

Later on met up with Channon's dad and brother. Also retired detective there. Told where to look based on cell tower.

Searched area around Cherry Street. Four vehicles, bunch of people in each. Someone spotted Channon's car. They all gathered at her vehicle. Decals ripped off.

LE called at that point and responded. Alot of mud in the backseat floorboard. A cellphone charger ripped apart in back. Wadded up Newport cigs.

Started asking neighbors for info. Tried to get sleep later on at his place.

Looks like Gary moved to the aisle, very close to the defense table. I believe to see the pictures better. But the bailiff right in front of him is watching him like a hawk.
