He asks if when DNA degrades, can it change into another profile? She says no - the numbers won't change, they'll just start disappearing..

She took cuttings from the jeans

Presence of sperm in both stains A & B

Its interesting that Suttons DNA can't be excluded. Is she more involved than we've been led to believe? or was this just some latent DNA since she had lived there in the past?

So he says that stain is consistent with vaginal drainage... and it is a mixture of DNA from Christian and Davidson...
There was no mixture of sperm -

He says point is that the presence of it there can be explained by her putting her pants on after sex (I knew he was gonna do this )

Knew this was coming. Channon's jeans were put back on obviously after first vaginal rape. I wonder why they did that. Changed their mind about what they were going to do with her?

He shows image of where she outlined the stains... asks how she tests for it... she says when the source is this large, she uses alternative light source - a poly - light...

It's a preliminary test because other bio fluids - urine, sweat, tears, mucus, will also glow...

He says so, the outline you drew doesn't mean the entire stain was semen, right?

She looks, says this stain was not only poli light positive but [second test] positive...
Then she did another test to check for presence of sperm..

He stopped, but apparently it really was all sperm

You know what, I'm starting not to be so scared of the defense. I don't think they have much, if anything at all. They're probably going to get slimey, but the evidence is pretty overwhelming that what they may be about to assert is not true. That's before the ME, who was dynomite in the Cobbins trial.

Moves on to Floral fabric (this is Eldridge)

Says she got a number of floral fabric swatches...

He points out that she knew they were used as bindings for Channon... she says, yes, some, because she had seen pics from autopsy...

You ID'd Cobbins' DNA on at least three of them... right?

She says yes - found him in around 4 spots...

Each had either presence of sperm, but one might have only been semen w/o sperm...

Sperm was on stains ABD, and G...

Asks her to ID her photos of those 4 stains.... admits them as evidence...

Asks about other stains, e.g., E.. where she saw sperm, but was unable to ID them... she says they were inconclusive...

He asks where - she says C - no dna profile because of insufficient or degraded DNA

He asks if she's aware of YSTR analysis - yes... (she uses STR) it separates the male component of DNA from female DNA ...

He says for a stain like C, where the male contributor couldn't be isolated, wouldn't YSTR have been helpful, but your lab doesn't do it? She says they would need to have someone else contract it out to an independent lab that does YSTR...

White cloth strip (I think it's from purse in trash) ... in Sept 2009 report..

"You weren't asked to examine that strip until aug 2009?" Yes... "By Mr Childress of the KPD (?)" Yes.

Has her ID photos she took of strip...

WRT that exhibit, tape lift you took is close to knotted end of the cloth?

DNA found encompassed area from here to knotted end - (i'll get screenshot)

It had Channon's blood on it...
