This is the most horrific murder case I ever followed. My stomach is in knots. My heart crys out to the families. Just to sad.

Different and WRONG, imo. The victims are trashed by the perp and perp's attorneys. But the families of the victims are subjected to censorship. :banghead:

Go figure, right. I remember where one case I followed the Judge told the family members "you cannot cry." It sickens me.

It's clear Chris' faith, and their's, is what gives the Newsoms hope or peace under even these unimaginable circumstances.

Yeah... Hugh told us with pride how Chris joined and was a part of the Young Life group.

Now he's breaking down...

I see no way a jury could, after hearing from the parents, not be incensed by the way the defense tried to trash these kids. I sure am.

He reminds me of an uncle of mine. I'd rather anyone in the world harshly rebuke me than to have that man give me his quiet, sad look of disappointment.

I appreciate Mr. Newsome speaking of how he had taught Chris not to say bad things about people, especially those that were deceased because they could not defend themselves. A big hint to the defense.

Chris' family is so nice, and love God so much this is breaking my heart. A father's memories of Tball etc, visiting his son's empty room... omg I can't bear it.

Mr. Newsom: Chris was not a saint, but he was never charged with carjacking, kidnapping, rape- vaginal, anal, or orally. GO MR. NEWSOME

Wow...if I remember correctly the Newsome's didn't get to give impact statements in Cobbins trial cause he wasn't found guilty of that crime. I PRAY that they are this time around, Mr. Newsome alone will win the death penalty for Davidson IMO.

You got it. Can say that Chris wasn't perfect, but can't say part about n ot charged with rape, kidnapping, carjacking. Ridiculous. Thats WHY everyone is here.

Oh - Judge is going to strike the part where Hugh said that this trial (implying the trashing of Chris' reputation) was going to put the scholarship at risk.


...also saying he couldn't mention that Chris couldn't be part of a wedding and was never charged with the specific charges Davidson is charged with.

How dare he criticize, and censor, Mr Newsom's heartfelt longsuffering response.

Nope. Won't allow any comparison or contrasting of this couple's innocent son w his brutal murderer and rapist.
