Found Deceased TN- David Hunter, 27, Signal Mountain, 22 June 2020

David Hunter was last seen walking on foot in the Signal Road area at 8:45 pm.

Hunter was last seen wearing a black lightweight jacket, a Pruett's t-shirt and a Pruett's ball cap, either khaki Carhartt pants or jeans. He was carrying a hard plastic brownish/green water bottle with an orange lid.

Anyone who has had contact with David Hunter or has information pertaining to his whereabouts is asked to contact the Signal Mountain Police Department dispatch at 423- 886-2123 or Detective Poland at 423-531-4737.

I live in this county (went to high school at the base of this mountain so a lot of my friends lived there). I don't have a good feeling about this. A lot of people fall off the mountain, including a guy I went to hs with (he survived bc he didn't fall far and was with a friend, but broke his arm or leg). If he tried a short cut in the dark, he could have slipped.

Signal Mountain Police Chief Mike Willaims says that Hunter's body was found by a hiker and reported to police who along with the Signal Mountain Fire Department recovered the body.
