A Shelby County woman who was arrested last year after she allegedly buried her dead fetus in her yard, called police to report that there was another dead fetus in her yard, authorities said.

Sierra Williams, 21, called 911 on August 2 and told the operator that there was a dead fetus in her yard, said Steve Shular, of the Shelby County Sheriff's Department. Officers found one fetus, but after examining the body, the Shelby County Medical Examiner said it appeared that the corpse was one of a pair of twins. However, no other body has been discovered.

What the heck? I can't find anything about this woman and this second case of only one baby found but two umbilical cords. One cut. One torn.

It is all a mystery to investigators. Last year, the Northaven woman was charged with reckless homicide but that was reduced to abuse of a corpse involving a dead fetus.

A year later, the 21-year-old woman is dealing with another dead baby.

Friday, Sierra Williams called paramedics to her Northaven home after she had a baby that appeared to be stillborn.

"Our deputies arrived on the scene and found the baby dead in the bathroom," said Steve Shular, spokesperson for the Shelby County Sheriff's Department.

The fetus and placenta were taken to the Medical Examiner's office. "The Medical Examiner called and said, 'where is the second baby'," added Shular.

Williams said there was no second baby. But the medical report said there are two umbilical cords- one cut and one torn.

Deputies searched Williams' house inside and out, and used a cadaver dog, but a second fetus was not found.

I wonder if the second baby was born alive and was given away in an illegal adoption? Since it sounds like the baby she disposed of before this one was also buried in her yard, it doesn't sound like she'd leave one in her yard like the last one and dispose of the other one somewhere else.
Did they determine how close to term the fetus they found was? If the second baby was born alive, would it have been relatively healthy or would it have needed medical intervention to survive?

Lots of questions here, obviously.
