Ugh. I am glad they have someone in custody but the fact they still haven’t found Liza made my stomach drop. I don’t feel this will end well. Her poor family.

A little more about prior kidnapping and victim.

Kemper was a millions times better of a human being than the vile human who took him. The fact he was released and able to do this again is sickening.

I feel that it is only a matter of time before we receive terrible news.. My heart breaks for Eliza and her family. Regardless of the outcome, their lives are forever changed.

I imagine skilled detectives are currently trying to convince him to tell the truth concerning Liza’s location.
Yes the most skilled in the country I’d imagine with the profile of this case and family. FBI is already involved and unfortunately many seasoned MPD detectives too.

Which one of the two men arrested abducted Kemper? Or was one the "unwilling abductor" and the other the willing one, using Kemper's words?

Wow, wow and wow again!!!
Very wow. Thanks for sharing. I wonder what he would have thought about Eliza now being kidnapped.

The 2nd person arrested:
"A second person was arrested in the same operation, but police say he is not believed to be connected to Fletcher’s abduction."

<modsnip>
That’s just until they can get their facts together likely. JMO

Abston was the one who kidnapped him and then picked up friends along the way. That’s why he got sentenced to 20 years in jail.

Surprised a bit this morning that an arrest was already made and equally taken back by the stupidity of continuing to drive a vehicle whose image has been blasted over the news both local and nationally. Unfortunately after reading about his prior conviction and time served I’m almost certain he wouldn’t allow any other victim to make a case against him. Horrendous to even think about but likely how it turns out. Sick to my stomach for this family.

So Cleo Abston would have just been released in the past year or so, right?, from serving his 20 years without parole? And he … does this again? Unbelievable.

Glad to see an arrest, sad that Eliza hasn't been located. Not feeling too optimistic about the outcome here..

Apparently so.

"A second person was arrested in the same operation, but police say he is not believed to be connected to Fletcher’s abduction.

Mario Abston, 36, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Manufacture and Sell Fentanyl, Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Manufacture and Sell Heroin, and Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony."
A second person was also arrested, but police said that suspect was "currently not believed to be connected" to Fletcher's abduction early Friday.

"This remains to be an active and ongoing investigation," police said on Twitter.

On his Facebook he announced “ he got out” 8th November 2020. So it was probably for that crime.

I said back on the last thread I hope this vehicle some sort of GPS and he was too dumb to deactivate it. That and @MassGuy hoping that this guy carried his cell phone with him and didn't turn it off. I'm hoping this guy could be a top candidate for DCOY (Dumb Crook Of the Year).
