Police Helicopter pathway in yellow shows it is circling the same area repetitively.

View attachment 364450
The area the helicopter is circling looks a lot like a water treatment facility to me. The dry grassy space, fenced off with barbed wire on top, in the middle of an otherwise residential area. The architecture/style of the buildings and white government-looking vehicles in the parking lot. Radio towers (often times water treatment and radio towers are on a high point or hill in a metro area). Even the fact that the drawing version of google map shows a body of water but the satellite (photo) version does not, because the water is in a holding tank underground. This looks just like the water treatment facility at the end of my block.

Kinda makes me feel like they found here and they are waiting for sunset so no one sees anything. how many more minutes until sunset there?

I don't think that this was planned. Or premeditated. It was pure chance. He saw her, had zero impulse control, and grabbed her.

This doesn't seem planned, or organized. JMO.
While I don't think it was planned that Eliza specifically would be the one attacked, I 100% believe an attack was planned. I believe he was out hunting for a victim. Sadly Eliza was by herself and he targeted her. MOO

Do you think they will wait until sundown so that the recovery isn’t visible? Would they do something like that?
Sad to say, Jessica Ridgeway's recovery was after dark and media still got some pretty disturbing shots that I'm sure all of us who were here then remember.

He didn't force another woman that we know of. He stole a wallet while he was working the woman lost it. That's the confusion I guess. It's pages back if you want the info, totally different crime. He was charged earlier today.
Correct. He was convicted of aggravated kidnapping/robbery of Mr. Kemper Durand, a attorney, years ago. The woman lost a wristlet/wallet at the movie theater a few days ago and he stole it from there.

Just about dark here in NC. We are Eastern time, I think someone said Memphis is Central?

IMO I really don’t think he knew she was an heiress.

I doubt they traveled in the same circles, or that he was well-versed in the finances of people he didn’t know.

I think he grabbed what to him was a woman, not an heiress. Just a woman who was alone in the dark.

I know he kidnapped a male lawyer and forced him to withdraw money from several ATMs. That’s what put him away for 20 years.

Are you saying he did the same to another person in the past, a woman?

JMO
No, sorry, I corrected my earlier post. It was a male lawyer, not a woman, whom he forced to withdraw money via an ATM. But it may have been in the newspapers, that she got an inheritance; it was a relatively recent event. And he was hanging out in that university area she was jogging in, for 20 minutes or so before she passed through. That makes it look like he could have been waiting for her. Otherwise, why would he be idling at 4:30 in the morning around university buildings?

That’s one thing I can’t figure out. He most likely subdued her in the four minutes he had her in the car. Why would you leave your shoes at the abduction site where he likely knew her phone was? Was someone driving or biking by and he didn’t want to risk it? Think his shoes couldn’t be tied to him?
That's a great question and I hope we get an answer later. Here's another: Why would he still be using the vehicle after its picture had been plastered everywhere? Who is that dumb? He is! He saw her, he took her... Sadly, I think it's as simple as that. I am heartbroken for her family.

Sunset 7:21pm... It's approx 7pm now.

Heartbreakingly this all just reminds me of Hannah Graham and Mollie Tibbetts, I followed their cases so closely, (probably over invested in all honesty). I was hoping this would be different and that he had her alive somewhere but I’m losing all hope.
I followed both as well and wholeheartedly agree with you on how I was hoping this would turn out.

again, this guy...not too bright. He high tailed it out of there is my guess

Yep I agree with you. He had obviously just blown his job and was going to be arrested again and she unfortunately came across his path.
Agreed, its like his fate was already sealed, he may have felt he had nothing to lose.IMO

I think, by and large, most don’t watch news.

For those of you who haven’t been on WS for a body recovery before, just know that sometimes, it can take hours. They process every minute detail of the scene before removing the victim, amd several different specialists often come in to do different parts of the process.

In this country...nope. It's all unfortunately who can get the best footage...no matter the pain it will cause the family. IMO vultures not an active fugitive search. AJMO
There could be a radio block out in force transmission cannot be heard and the unidentified flight operating is likely keeping the press from flying over the area . The MPD are keeping this real tight . IMO

I'm pointing out a possible pattern on the part of the perp. Forces one victim to take money from his account. Now he chooses this known heiress to victimize. He could have been planning to force her to take money from her account, too. Except he left her phone and her wallet at the scene of the crime, didn't he? After a struggle with her? Still, it could have been his original plan. It seems hard to believe it was just a coincidence that he chose an heiress to kidnap.
Here's a quote from the report posted earlier of CA's prior crime involving using the victim to withdraw $$ from an account via ATM:
Abston forced Durand was forced into the trunk of his vehicle, then made him withdraw money from an ATM machine. While at the ATM (located at a Mapco gas station), Kemper screamed for help as an armed Memphis Housing Authority guard walked in.
Nah, he didn’t know who she was! This was not about money. Purely sexual.
