Dumb Websleuths logistics question....if the body found is indeed Eliza, does someone move these threads to "Located" or what? Also how come there's no "ARREST" in the thread title? I always assumed a mod added that but I don't know how Websleuths works. No big. I just can never find threads unless I search by the names of the persons involved.
Yes, the threads will be moved to the located section once it’s officially confirmed that her body has indeed been found. I think either a mod or the original poster (maybe?) would be able to edit the title to include the detail that someone has been arrested.

Yeah, once she's identified a mod would move it to the located thread, or the awaiting trial thread. Not sure about the arrest tag not being there yet.

@Sillybilly would know.

I guess I was imagining a different vehicle would transport... more like an ambulance instead of what looks like a minivan.

The ME takes the body. The body is never left at the site overnight outside of unusual circumstances (obstruction-needing heavy equipment to remove it). Once they process the scene-photos, documentation, etc there isn’t any reason for the ME to leave it behind.

That makes me think it was not a spur of the moment abduction, he waited until Liza got to the darkest area. It was planned, IMO
I agree

My heart aches for those poor little boys who woke up not knowing their mom was no longer in the world with them. A tragedy.

I am so sorry that this young woman was snatched off the street and brutally murdered by an animal who doesn't even deserve to draw another breath. I am so sorry that her two children will have to grow up without their mother, and am sorry for all of her family and students who loved her. I am thankful that she has apparently been found now, and can be laid to rest with dignity. RIP, Eliza. May justice be swift!
And it sounds dumb, but May Justice be swift and actually JUST.

This time.
I’m so angry

Some new details such as vehicle owned by cleaning company (I've read in other reports that it was his girlfriend's vehicle), kidnapping of uncle attorney was at gunpoint and was armed robbery when he took victim to ATM, Eliza had significant injury from struggle when abducted, shoes and phone found by man who returned them to the family and family called LE.
I don’t think the previous kidnapping was her uncle. The victim was an attorney who coincidentally worked at the same law firm as Elizas uncle - also an atty.

Has it been confirmed to be Eliza now?

How many other parolees like this monster are out there?

Did he have a parole officer?
Since he was arrested in June for felony stealing, wouldn’t that be a parole violation? I would think stalking women and demanding sex would be a parole violation as well.

I guess those answers will be forthcoming.

He wasn’t on parole—he’d completed his sentence and was out, free and clear.

The local Fox affiliate is reporting that the body is Eliza Fletcher, citing multiple law enforcement sources.

Based on teaching videos of Eliza that are posted upthread, it looks like she mapped out the entire early childhood curriculum through covid-teaching videos. Her young children are lucky in that they can learn from her while they are young, even though she is not there.
LOVE THIS!
