GUILTY TN - Evelyn Boswell, 15 months, Sullivan County, 26 DEC 2019 *MOM ARRESTED* #10

Some power eye-rolling from Megan on her way out of the courtroom. Gift for the judge, no doubt.

Granting probation would depreciate the seriousness of this case....no remorse, no empathy. Yes!

He said "along with her life sentence"... so I hear, life plus 33 years, which cancels any parole in 51 years because her 33 years kick in.

So I guess she can petition for parole in 84 years.

51 years before eligible for parole. Society needs protection from her.

Plus 25 years consecutive!!
Hallelujah - She received her earthly judgement for the murder of her beautiful, innocent baby. She is evil, conniving and a threat to society I agree. Looks like she will be an old woman when, if ever, she leaves prison. IMO

Fly high Evelyn and rest in peace little angel.

Just tears of joy and relief. I cry every time I see that particular photo they always show of sweet little Evelyn sitting and smiling so big on that bench outside. It looks to have been taken around fall.

Why, why, why? Some things I will never understand and it breaks my heart. I promised I'd finish this case out to the end, but these are too hard for me to follow anymore. :(

Megan is probably already raising cain and eye rolling so hard she'll be cross eyed by in the morning. She has zero self awareness and most of all NO EMPATHY. Even the Judge said he'd never seen any sign of remorse from her. That's says a lot.

Sounds like BPD to me. She's right where she belongs, the other inmates better watch their backs.

For the aggravated child abuse and neglect charges, Goodwin said the court was of the opinion that a 25-year sentence was appropriate. For tampering with evidence, Goodwin sentenced Boswell to six years.

On the false report charges, Goodwin cited a previous ruling and merged all 11 counts into one.

The abuse of a corpse charge and the failure to report a death were each afforded 2-year sentences.

Boswell’s three murder charges were merged into one.

Goodwin sentenced Boswell to serve the 25 years for the aggravated child abuse and child neglect after the murder life sentence. The 6-year tampering with evidence sentence and 4-year false reports sentence could be served concurrently but must be served after the 25-year sentence. The 2-year abuse of a corpse and failure to report a death sentences are to be served concurrently but after the 6-year tampering with evidence sentence.

Judge made mincemeat of smirking, malicious, manipulative Megan.

Good! Rest in peace little Evelyn!

I found an article:

The motion for a new trial will be heard sometime next week once a transcript from this trial is obtained for review.

But this is what the court site has:

Hearing For Role Hearing Type Hearing Date/Time Judge Hearing Result
Megan Boswell Defendant Status Hearing 01/16/2026 9:00 AM James F Goodwin

Megan Boswell Defendant Sentencing Hearing 09/05/2025 1:30 PM James F Goodwin Sentence: Conviction After Trial

link: Sullivan County - Criminal Case Detail

So I will look later in the week - to see if they added a date.

A thousand juries, she's getting the same result.

She needs to fade into the abyss.

Judge
Everybody who sat through the trial knows the facts that came in....
Testimony was that that child was suffocated.
Wrapped in blankets and aluminum foil.
Stuffed in trash can head first.
No doubt she had no hesitation when she killed her daughter.

She continued to live her life.
Hearing the proof as to actually why she done the deed.
Cause the new bf was the lifestyle she wanted for herself.
Evelyn was just in the way.
Reminds me of Susan Smith. 😡

I don't think the other inmates will put up with the eye-rolling baby killer

This case is one of those that’s so upsetting that I sometimes revisit it just to remind myself that it actually happened.

What even makes a person be like this? I don’t feel bad for Megan; she’s where she should be, but also my mind just boggles at how someone like her even exists.

That sweet little girl. I so hope it was fast and she wasn’t fully aware of what was happening, or who was doing it. 😔

The saddest cases to me are the children murdered by a family member who they trusted. This one was awful. Did you follow Gannon Stauch's murder? Or the Doerman boys? It's just beyond belief.
