When I see AB..I see evil. Just a real evilness in her
Didn’t she tell the judge in North Carolina that she wanted to go back to Tennessee to help find her granddaughter? So much for helping!
Resolve the situation with her granddaughter?? What does that even mean???

According to MB, they just need to take a drive up to Mendota to pick her up. LE just hasn’t done it yet.

That MB interview is even more infuriating to me now. The arrogance of claiming you know where your missing daughter is and acting annoyed that law enforcement hasn’t retrieved her yet and you might even have to do it yourself (after two months of doing jack.) All the while knowing you were lying about it all.

Reward is for safe return, so what happens to money in the event a safe return does not occur? Are these just pledges? Because I know some restaurants were collecting cash in tip jars to go towards the fund.

I don't know - just that some of it is cash, it would appear. I've seen them change up the reward before and I keep hoping to see that here. For example, from "reward for the safe return" to and/or "information leading to ..." MOO

I

I’m just afraid that they can only hold her for so long, and then what? She walks!!!

The District Attorney is obviously working closely with LE, so they will work closely together to coordinate their efforts with regards to the False Reporting and how they present that to the courts as far as scheduling is concerned. Courts don’t exactly move at the speed of light around here, so unless she straight out pleads guilty or bonds out, I think she won’t be going anywhere until it goes to trial. I don’t see a judge lowering bond but stranger things have happened.

Tomorrow when she appears, she will have the opportunity to enter a plea or ask for an attorney. I have not seen any reports or heard anything here locally stating that she has retained one yet, but that’s not to say she hasn’t - it just doesn’t seem likely in my opinion.

If she asks for an attorney, it will be very interesting to see if the courts will appoint one or go to the public defender. This case is high profile and I wouldn’t doubt that there may be some out there looking for some exposure that may want to represent her. I don’t envy that position at all, she’s not exactly done a potential legal team many favors in the early going.

Can’t sleep. Thinking of baby Evelyn.

I’ve been rereading some of the articles about the trailer search, and the warrant, and I think there’s a reporting error. Goes along with what’s been said here about inexperienced journalists on a big case.

I think some of the articles are wrong - specifically when they differentiate between

A. What they were searching for
B. What was taken

The search warrant was for any baby things that might have been Evelyn’s, and any forensic evidence.

What was taken was a piece of styrofoam and a pillow. The search warrant was NOT specifically looking for a piece of styrofoam and a pillow. That was what was written on the documentation given to the tenant after the fact.

I think this is a key distinction and when other news outlets picked up the story, they got it wrong. JMO.

Thank you ! I thought it was just me being being thick as a brick (as usual) so I didn't say anything.

I had thought about it enough I dreamed about searching for her.

I woke up at 5:30 am (after sleeping only 3 hours) because I dreamed she was located at a hoarder's house. I sleep with the tv on, so I wasn't quite sure if I was dreaming or if it was real. Had to get out of bed and check the internet.

I think everyone's nerves are frayed over this case. Hopefully we all take that into consideration when we reply to each other today.

If it was a hoarder that played with dolls and flashcards and cooked Evelyn's favorite foods, I would be okay with it. There are so many things in my mind, so many scenarios I wish for where Evelyn is okay but in reality all I think I can do is continue to talk to God and pray that someone will finally say something, that they will care enough for this beautiful child to tell what happened and lead LE to her so that she can have peace.

Don't be surprised if her charges get dropped. LE wants Evelyn they are not going to take the chance of her being convicted for lying to LE and later find out she was responsible for her death. Double Jeopardy would apply.
Really? But they're different charges. Wasn't Casey convicted of lying? I think double jeopardy applies only to the same charge.

Is anyone else surprised that WM hasn't bonded out yet? Just me?
Anyone think he could have given the tip to tell LE where to find pillow and styrofoam and maybe he's better off staying in there away from AB? Idk.. im just curious who told them where to search at that trailer...
