So tragic. We need to get serious about mental health care in this country. So many mass shootings are happening by young men. We need to reach out to our young men and tell them it's okay to receive help!

Not all radical Muslims are murderers so no. Of course not. However I'd wager a mentally ill Muslim has a higher risk of violent religious radicalism than most other demographics. There are images of these violent acts in the media and there are groups who are willing to prey on the impressionable and willling.

I doubt mental health had anything to do with this. This is about religion.

Even if NS is not the NOCO shooter, this incident today demonstrates that random shootings are getting more and more frequent all of a sudden.

I really do think that ISIS has recently sent very specific orders to any ISIS sympathizers to start shooting and killing as many random people as they can.

Something is going on folks and its not good. We all need to take extreme caution to be on the lookout for any suspicious people.

Director of the FBI James Comey, is warning that ISIS is trying to recruit members over the Internet and then sending messages telling new recruits to kill people.
He said ISIS is trying to recruit new members and once they respond, the terrorist group sends them encrypted messages.

The FBI is trying to get help breaking that encryption technology from Silicon valley.

The Islamic radicals encourage the potential recruits to come join their caliphate. But if they can't do that, ISIS has another message for them.

"If you can't come, kill somebody where you are. Kill somebody in uniform, kill anybody," Comey said the messages urge. "If you cut their head off, great, videotape it. Do it, do it, do it."

"They're pushing this through Twitter," he explained. "So it's no longer that someone's who troubled needs to go find this propaganda and this motivation. It buzzes in their pocket. So there is a device, almost a devil on their shoulder all day long saying, 'kill, kill, kill, kill.'"

Soooo... he lived in this country , enjoyed some of the prosperity , was free to go where he wanted and to do as he pleased ?

I have something to say to those who think as he does/did, and those who support his actions : If you don't like it here in the U.S. with those who believe and live differently -- then LEAVE !!!!!!!! If you depart our shores, you will no longer be troubled by we who are "infidels". Smh

James Holmes reached out for help and he got professional mental health 'counseling'----and he sent his shrink a manifesto and a copy of his plans for his upcoming mass shooting in the movie theatre. It is very disheartening.

And he was crazier than most mass shooters, imo. But still 'sane' enough to be found guilty of all 12 murders today.

Goose22, Mohammad Youssduf Adbulazeez, is an ISIS jihadist lone wolf; a soldier on a perpetual mission, imo. No amount of counselling would have prevented him from committing the evil horrific act that he carried out today..

I am looking at one of the sisters FB pages and I see a lot of anti-Israel stuff also anti-transgender posts (knocking Caitlyn Jenner) . Ironically she has as her avatar "END hate speech END hate crimes #ChapelHillShooting" (Chapel Hill refers to the murder of three college students which was trumped up as a "Islamophobic hate crime")

I am only looking at the facts as we know them. It is very fair to surmise that the shooter, Muhammed Yusef, had Jihadist notions as he shot at our soldiers on the last day of Ramadan. I don't think that is too far of a stretch. JMO

Agreed, wendybtn. Sad for this country. We are too timid to confront anyone, no matter what.
I'm feeling fearful for people in the service in this country and also le. They are more visible because of their jobs and the uniforms they wear. They seem to be a target more than civilians ; imo.

This thread has more information than CNN is reporting (no shock there). Not very happy with CNN, anyway, as they were showing zoom-ins of the fallen Marines where they lay. My heart is breaking for those families who are getting that visit from the military

On another note, a local yard-sale type of FB group that I belong to has a young woman calling for everyone with a concealed carry permit to meet at the recruiting office near me tomorrow, to "stand guard" in hour long rotating shifts. I understand the feeling that people want to help, in some way, any way, but this... I can't agree with that. It is still a no weapons zone, and having a bunch of untrained, unwelcome, upset, armed civilians standing out front isn't going to solve anything or do any good at all.
