I take it you have never driven down Timesville Rd then? If you had, I think you would understand.
No, never been there.

Chattanooga is a beautiful city and there are lots of safe places. There are places to stay away from, just like any other city. Her description of the area was very accurate and not very many people like talking about those things.
Before I moved to Signal Mtn, I was raised in Dunlap and the stories you hear about "backwoods" people and corruption is unbelievable there!
Ghetto? Maybe houses that aren't up to par next to brand-new $400,000 homes might be an eyesore, but I think ghetto is pretty harsh language.
I've never heard of "Timesville" so that's not general knowledge off the mountain, I guess. Hadn't heard about that wall. I think that's pretty funny, actually.
Do we really think that anyone who lived in the woods behind this development had anything to do with this woman's disappearance? I for one do not. So far there's no evidence beyond the family problems.
You know, I'm sorry, but I just don't like these stereotypes of "backwoods people" being one way or another. Most people in Chattanooga are nothing like that. There are no people like that involved in this story so far.

I'm saying that if the husband (who I am in no way of accusing of anything or trying to insinuate as being responsible for her disappearance at this point), wanted to hide a body, the area around St. Ives is the perfect place to do so.

I see no evidence of an organized search for GP. Am hoping those local to this case know of something that has been printed. There really is a minute amount of MSM articles for a missing mother...strange.
How do we access those public docs?
Long time lurker, new member here...
Ive lived on Signal Mountain for 35 years and know its advantages and drawbacks very well. Its a "hush" community- if something goes wrong, it wont make the news until it is a catastrophe. You still have to search the web or read the Times Free Press to find news of this story... very little, if any, coverage on the nightly WTVC, WDSI or WDEF 11 oclock news. WRCB has featured the case.
What should be noted is that St. Ives is directly connected to the Timesville area, which most people of money on the mountain avoid visiting or discussing. I lived in Applewood when they started construction on St. Ives, and since it runs directly into the Timesville community area around Applewood, St. Ives, and Timesville wouldve made the perfect place to dispose of someone. St. Ives was built on the old motorbike pits, which drew in a very shady crowd, with lots of drugs and rural crime taking place- as well as stills. Building St. Ives in that specific area was about the dumbest idea any developer couldve come up with, because it is directly connected to one of the poorest areas on the mountain. It would still be very easy to hide something in this area. The woods behind the neighborhoods are miles deep and still probably filled with marijuana plants and shady activity.
I just bought a house on the back of the mtn. There are some scary things that go on Signal Mountain that are either swept under the rug or unacknowledged because they are out of jurisdiction of both Walden and the city of Signal Mtn, but not in Sequatchie Co. Having also lived in the city limits, I can say that I don't have much faith in the SMPD. It's sad to say, but when you hear the late shift officers clowning around on their CBs and loudspeakers in the Taco Bell parking lot regularly, or have been tailed home regularly after midnight for no reason whatsoever than for their own entertainment, then you start to become quite cynical. There are some outstanding officers, such as Greg Hill, Scott O, and the lady officer who's name escapes me at the moment that take their job seriously, but there are also quite a few who feel the need to show their toughness for no apparent reason.
This is all directly related to the current case because it is going to take some work from outside if this lady doesn't turn up somewhere soon. The last thing the town of Signal Mtn. wants is to have another national news story like the 4 wheeler murders became.

Granted I have not had the opportunity to watch much of the local news as of late, but I have not heard anything in regards to this woman being missing from any of our local stations.. I did ask several of my customers today IF they had heard anything on the local news about the incident and only one person said they had heard about it...
I think Channel 3, Times Free Press, and the Chattanoogan are the only places locally that have covered it. I don't know about radio stations. I would imagine US101 has mentioned something about it.
I couldn't agree more! We lived on Corral and then Fox Run. I can't tell you how many times I was tailed home late at night or pulled over for no reason. Once was around 11:00 at night, and I went to drop my water bill off in the drop box and the lady that patrols for the County pulled me over wanting to know why I pulled out of the water company and then said she thought I wasn't wearing my seat belt. I ALWAYS wear my seat belt, my boyfriend is a paramedic so that is something we both feel strongly on. I chalk it up to her being bored and thinking she could find something to get someone on.
Thank you-I wonder if they would respond to a show of interest in getting the story covered?
A relative and myself were both tailed and pulled over also after leaving a relatives home in Walden one night around midnight..I had stopped in St. Augustine's parking lot waiting for another relative to follow me down the mtn since they didn't want to drive down the "W" road..They pulled both of us over and wanted to know what we were doing out that late at night...
