All I know is that I am disgusted that this woman has been forgotten the way she has by her children's FATHER. Even if he did not love her anymore....could he not for the sake of his children look for their Mother??? I cannot say anymore about what I think of this man. Going to hide now. ARGH!

I mentioned this way back up-thread but I wanted to say it again because it's eating at me and there wasn't a response. I know we have some connected folks here.

I'm thinking MP could be a planner for sure but his temper and reported previous events also lead me to believe he could also have just acted out in anger, especially if he encountered her on her way down the mountain. Maybe he had big plans for her and stumbled upon her trying to get away (and knew she had her info on him for the divorce as well).

Since we've heard the roads are crazy and she could have gone off in any number of places and he did have two full days...does anyone know his VIN (or know how to get it?) to run a Carfax and see if he had any repairs done? What if he just did a swerve and gouge and figured it was an "accident" if she made it out alive? He'd already painted her as paranoid anyway and he did have plenty of time to get repairs made.

The road are curvy, but there are guardrails everywhere. If a car did go off/over, certainly there would be damage to guardrails. I live up on the mountain and never saw anything "out of the ordinary" while traveling up and down the mountain. I still look... and especially took notice right after Gail went missing. Plus, this scenario doesn't account for Gail's cell phone "ping" at the bottom of the mountain on the 2nd.
But, we will keep looking. The trees are beginning to loose their leaves. Soon we will have a much clearer view of everything alongside the roads.

I apologize if this was discussed in detail before, but was there knowledge of MP cheating prior to him getting caught by the Blue Cross incident? I know that GP suspected he was cheating, but did she know for sure and did she know with whom he had the affair? Also, did the authorities know if he was having an affair, before the Blue Cross incident?

Gail knew about MP having an affair at least as early as the 2nd week in April.

Has LE spoke to the children yet? They I would think are of an age where they would be able to shed additional light on events

The adults all "lawyered up" very early on, most within days of Gail's disappearance and the 2 children have not been allowed to interview with the LE investigators, as per their fathers wishes.:waitasec::banghead:

It's shame the the father can't be charged with child cruelty or some such thing, for not allowing them to be spoken with by LE. I would imagine they have officers who are trained or experienced in dealing with children, in relation to crimes. It is sad that those kids must not have an adult that they can confide in. Poor things are probably brainwashed by now. If they aren't allowed to speak or be with extended members of GP's family...well, that is very telling to me.......no matter how much you despise your spouse, it just isn't right to put children in the middle. So sad.

:twocents:It AMAZES ME that the Alabama property on EASY STREET where Gail, the 2 children and the 2 dogs spent the MAJORITY of the HOURS AWAY, during the 24 HOUR period between Friday afternoon... when Gail left in the 2010 JEEP RUBICON to drive to Alabama (Wetumpka) until the next day when Gail and the crew returned to 40 Ridge Rock in Signal Mountain TN at approximately 12:15pm Saturday afternoon. This is the PROPERTY I would have wanted SEARCHED IMMEDIATELY....but ...."NO" ....and it still has not been searched...

:waitasec:THE SUMMER HAS COME AND GONE....VISITING GUESTS have stayed there throughout the summer months...so much for evidence collections... and contamination (if indeed there was a "crime scene" or ANY EVIDENCE of where Gail might have gone or what her thoughts might have been as she stayed the night there ONE LAST TIME before her disappearance the following day) ... Just what certain people would have wanted I am sure of that !!! ... :banghead:

Apparently, they feel no sense of urgency to act of the last 2 properties listed in Matt's "Consent to Search agreement" negotiated with LE by Matt Palmgren's attorney's (almost 3 months after Gail went missing):maddening:. Matt, early on tried hard to convince LE and anyone who would listen that Gail just "took off" never to be seen again ~ by her own choice! ~ YOU ALL BELIEVE THAT ??? I DON'T !!! not for one second ... :banghead::sick:

This ENTIRE CASE sickens me every moment I think about it...:sick:

As I remember it, Arlene D. also had keys to the AL properties, and at one point "broke into" one of them by cutting off a lock that was put onto a door (I believe this was early on, before anyone else stayed there), so yes, evidence could have been contaminated at any point by anyone if there was such to be found.

Yes, I do believe that!!! She must have had some reason, but that seems to be exactly what she did.

And yes, this case sickens me also-most likely for completely different reasons than yours.

Per AD, she called LE and told them about the locked door. They wouldn't come out to look at it but said, since she had keys to the home, she was within her rights to remove the inside lock and look around.

What evidence do you have that she ran off? By that I mean something tangible like a note, computer records, past history, anything of the sort.

What was her reason?

Why hasn't she contacted anyone?

What is she using for money?

What is she using for identification? Her driver's license was left at home.

Does she still have the Jeep? If not, what did she do with it?

The reason I ask these things is that several people have said she just ran off. Some people on TFP and other newspaper forums often qualify that with "obviously" she ran off. But as long as I've been following this case, I haven't seen anything to indicate the possibility, let alone the "obvious" possibility. MP made a statement early on saying she often ran off but always kept in contact with the kids, but even that was contradicted by SB and DN who said this was very much out of character.

It's not that I don't want to believe she ran off, because honey, if she ran off then SHE'S STILL ALIVE. That is the BEST CASE SCENARIO and I would LOVE to believe it, but I haven't seen anything to make me think it's possible IMHO.

Not only isn't he allowing the children to speak to LE, he, his mother and the girlfriend ALL lawyered up almost immediately and are not talking to LE either..
I would hate to think I disappeared without a trace and my mother-n-law would lawyer up and wouldn't come forward and cooperate with LE in any way she could to help find out what happened to me....JMHOOTS..

May 2, 2011 (the day MP had to begin his story) ... the day the Missing Person report was finally filed with the Signal Mountain Police Department Monday, May 2, 2011, MP was FORCED to fill out a "Missing Persons Report" on his wife ... and this was done ONLY after the STRONG urging & outright INSISTENCE of Gail's sister DN and Gail's friend AD. It is my FIRM BELIEF that, left to his own devices ... MP would have POSTPONED the actual filing of any Missing Persons report on GAIL PALMGREN, as long as he could get away with it ...:maddening: He may NEVER have filed one out,:sick: UNLESS others close to Gail insisted. That insistence came from people who actually loved and/or cared a great deal more for Gail than her <modsnip> husband (Matt P) did. Thank God for sisters & best friends!!!:innocent:

They probably started to doubt their original feelings as more info on MP came out, especially when he got fired for having an affair on company time and the company dime.

Hopefully, now that CUE Center for Missing Persons has taken up Gail's cause, Gail and her Jeep will be found. I looked at CUE's web site yesterday, and it appears they conduct some seriously intense searches with K9s, ATVs, divers, etc.

On another note, wonder why DN and KN didn't proceed with trying to get a guardian ad litem appointed to represent the childrens' rights? Maybe Gail's siblings were advised they, more than likely, wouldn't prevail with MP's attorney's connections and all! :maddening:

Here's a question: What if the tables were turned??? If MP disappeared into thin air what would Gail have done?? How would she have responded?? Hmmmm...I think the answer is evident. I'm fairly certain that she wouldn't have 'broadcast' to the 'world' that MP was mentally unstable, or publicly allude to MP having control issues, drinking problems, and being verbally/physcially abusive! IMHO

Per AD, she called LE and told them about the locked door. They wouldn't come out to look at it but said, since she had keys to the home, she was within her rights to remove the inside lock and look around.

Keeping in mind that this is her version of events.

Stepping back, the chain of custody for any evidence that may have been gathered has been really compromised here, and my view is that of a civilian. I think MP's attorney could have a field day with anything that has been discovered since there is absolutely no guarantee that someone else hasnt had their hands on it. :banghead:

It almost doesnt matter who has what at this point, and what is found unless it is Gail. JMVHO.
