Irish Eyes, I think the big significance of James Place is that most of us locals had never heard of it. I haven't heard anybody on here comment that, ah, yes. I know where that is.

As has been explained in several posts, it is a very small, hidden "road." I finally went looking myself today out of curiousity, and I NEVER would have termed it a "road." Looks like an unpaved driveway to me, just a little wider than the others maybe, with grass growing between the two tire tracks down the path. Nothing visible from James Blvd. except woods. I don't know what it leads to, but I saw no house.

I drove right past it on the first pass, then turned around and drove VERY slowly, looking down every possible opening in the foliage! James Place has NO street marker. I clocked it on my odometer, and it's less than 0.1 mile from Westwood and about 0.2 from Stratford Way. And yes, like somebody else said, you have to be looking straight at it to see it.

I doubt it has any significance to the case and am betting it has been checked out by several people by now.

Hopefully it has been, Pearl.

The reason why it caught my attention is because it was along a possible route of travel- and I was having flashbacks to a different case, where a vehicle was discovered in a very similar location and had been overlooked for months. :banghead:

Thank you for looking.

The court documents I have say she was prescribed adderall, but do not say it was used as an anti-psychotic. However, their is an affadvit from MP that I do not have and perhaps what AD is referring to is contained in that affadavit from Matt.
I concur that adderall would not be used as an anti-psychotic. Standard ADD med.

I'm listening to the interview. At about 17 minutes in part one is where Arlene talks about psychotic, Adderall, etc.

I re-listened to this part several times. I don't hear anyone saying that Adderall was used as an anti-psychotic.

Arlene says that Matt says that Gail was psychotic. She then says "not one drug on there". She then says Matt says she was on Adderall.

SMM interrupts and says "we" checked all the drugs, know some taken for restless leg syndrome, she had ADD diagnosed at 16, speaks quite a bit about Gail being a good mother, and the conversation proceeds on to other things.

Adderall is an amphetamine. I don't know much about its use in adults, and I'm no doctor- but I do know it has several contraindictions, and one of them is a history of psychosis (?) along with a history of other mood disorders and anxiety/stress.

Do we know with any certainty that Gail was taking Adderall?

If so, I'd be curious to know who prescribed it.

(Yeah, yeah I know HIPPA.)

Perhaps one of our verified pharms/RNs/docs could weigh in on this.

Nope. And we don't know, if she was taking it, if it was new or she'd been on it for years or any recent dosage changes or anything, all of which make a big difference.

My 25-year old daughter has been taking Adderall for ADHD for several years. Is there something specific you want to know about Adderall?

  • #407
Interesting. How does AD know that? Is she talking to TH? Or is TH talking to LE? Or is this something Gail heard him say to TH?

I'm wondering the same..JMHO

LE conducted a search of a Red Bank storage unit...would that be the same one, I wonder?

Regarding TH, I could say lots but I'll be an :innocent: moo
(At least, for now!)

I would think. On the program last night it was mentioned it was 3.2 miles (from the home) My google showed that would be Pro Storage, which is at the bottom of W Road. Locals will have to chime in if that is in Red Bank.

What was odd, imo, is that SMM was telling SMPD they should be all over that storage unit. (paraphrasing) Not sure if she isn't aware of the previous search--or wanting a more a thorough one. Also...SMPD is not the lead any longer. ????

And we don't know IF he messed with her meds either... At this stage of the game and considering his actions/non actions I certainly wouldn't put it past him...JMHO

BBM. I've tweeted Callie Starnes twice to ask for clarification, but she hasn't answered. First she was on vacation and now she has a new position.

I hate to bother LE for something so minor and take them away from their work, so I haven't emailed or called them, but I'm a bit tempted to.

Maybe we can make believe09 do it.

He most definitely had the knowledge and resources to do that.

It could be wrong but to my knowledge the bottom of the "W" is considered Chattanooga. Mountain Creek Apartments I believe are listed as being in Chattanooga too...JMHO

TechWriter, please feel free not to answer this..! And thank you for offering your thoughts on Adderall.
Does your daughter have any history of drug or alcohol abuse?
Does she take the generic version, or the brand name Adderrall? Does she take Adderral XR? Has she experienced any side effects?

TIA.

From what she posted on twitter the other day, my understanding is she now goes in to work at 2:00 pm in the afternoon..JMHO

Oh the power of internet peer-pressure lol...

If we can't pressure believe09, I'll do it. ;)

I believe the Red Bank reference is to a storage facility in the Red Bank area- and that is Chattanooga. Follow 127 off the mountain, and then go north on 27/29. I think that's the one referred to.:waitasec:

Yep. She's not on Twitter near as much as she was before she went on vacation.

I have taken adderall for half of my life, prescribed in late teens and am 35yoa now.. And what I can say is that it is a wonderful medication for those who truly have ADD or ADHD.. and can make an extreme world of difference in a person's life in a very positive way.. And I can say that not only for myself but several others that I have known for many years and the differences and improvements that it made in their lives as well..

Adderall's Contraindications such as history of psychosis is *just one of thousands of drugs thats contraindications are history of psychosis.. I'd say that aren't too many drugs that would be deemed safe to take with a history of psychosis.. That said I still feel as tho MP has put these thoughts in the community and the public as just a way to taint Gail's reputation, especially regarding her mental state..

"IF" Gail was on Adderall it sounds as tho this possibly was a med that she'd been on for many, many years if she was diagnosed in her teens as being ADD..
And she could be receiving her monthly prescriptions for it through various types of Doctors.. Her primary care physician, her ob/gyn, her internist, her psychiatrist(if she had one), or a Nurse Practitioner(i am in TN as well and in TN by law the FNP<Family Nurse Practitioners> are legally allowed to write DEA Scheduled/Classified Drugs.. And Adderall is a Class II) Any number of doctors and even Nurse *Practitioners could have been prescribing and writing her monthly script..again "IF" she were taking it..

So, IMO with her most likely having been prescribed ADD meds for a good part of her life I don't believe that all of a sudden that it contributed to a negative state of mental health.. For those who truly have ADD it does not cause anxiety/speedy feelings but rather actually works as a calming mechanism.. Literally a calming more focused state of mind..

Just wanted to relay my own personal knowledge I've experienced and that those around throughout my life have experienced.. And tho I personally have had no mental health issues, or ever experienced bouts of depression, mania, etc.. I do know of those who have and who throughout their treatment for the mental health issues they both had gone thru different meds for their depression/anxiety and at one point were taken off the Adderall to see if there was any benefit whatsoever and I can say both of them through their doctors advice returned to taking the Adderall for their ADD and ADHD and both have successfully been able to maintain an even keeled mental health state along with remaining on the Adderall to combat the ADD/ADHD..

Just my personal experiences and knowledge, tho!

No, DD has no history of drug or alcohol abuse. She was diagnosed with ADHD. She was on Ritalin from about 5th grade to 9th grade. The Adderall XR (not generic) has been wonderful for her. Once she got used to it, she did not complain of any side effects. She only takes it on days she works (she's an RN).

Thank you SmoothOperator for sharing your experience!

As an adult who has taken a med such as Adderall since they were a teen/young adult- would you take it with you on an overnight trip? Do you keep it in your vehicle?
I'm trying to figure out if Gail had any necessary medication with her when she disappeared.
TIA.
