But why is she on a childs website? Doesn't this missing org run and adult site too?

I think this was resolved in the big Amber Alert discussion from a couple days ago as well.

There was some good discussion...

Maybe Holly threw the lunch out the window? The perp may have been to scared to turn around and go get it

Thats a distinct possibility. We had a case here where a guy was driving all around town with a lady in his car and she was trying to get attention by signalling other drivers, calling 911, leaving stuff in the car for clues (like her wedding ring)

Yes....I remember that one.

For all we know they might not have spent much time at all in the woods. He could have walked her through the woods to his vehicle, made her get in, secured her hands, driven off perhaps to the area where the warm vehicle was found with the cell phone, etc., put her into another vehicle he had previously stashed and taken off down the road. IMO, It's definitely someone very familiar with this remote area.

I would be surprised if the perp was "planting" evidence. The lunchbox appears to be thrown from a car. It looks like more of an act to get rid of evidence.

My thought is most of the planning went into obtaining Holly.

How would throwing it out the window be getting rid of evidence? I would say burning it, throwing it in a random dumpster, burying it, throwing it in a lake/river or something like that would be disposing of evidence but not simply throwing it out the window unless you WANT people to find it.

As Carla said, unless Holly threw it out of the window it just doesn't make too much sense for it to be there. If she did throw it out the window it seems like a smart choice. Her backpack could be of use at some point. Even if she can't access it then she might have somethings that could be used as weapons in there. Her purse has valuables too but a lunch box is easily recognizable by her family and serves her no purpose unless she thinks he will starve her to death.

They add "minors" up to age 20.

SPECIAL NOTE: This case was initiated pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 5779. The individual pictured on this poster was reported missing when he or she was between the ages of 18 and 20. Law enforcement has entered this case in the FBI National Crime Information Center database and has asked NCMEC to disseminate this poster.

Thank you. Makes sense now.

Thats old information. Oddly the stuff listed on America's Most Wanted is just as dated and inaccurate.

This is the first report I've read that claims the mother was at home and actually witnessed, along with the brother, Holly being led away from the house. :waitasec:

Hinky.

That's what I think as well, also she might have gotten the duct tape off and threw that out as well.... cannot see that being left purposely... Sadly, though, more fighting would have taken place...

Excuse me for missing it.

I didn't mean it in a sharp way. But some of the same info just posted again was posted in a larger discussion.

Nah its just from the very first day before everyone's story was streamlined or confirmed.

I don't know about you guys but I actually spend a lot of time and effort thinking about this and working with the given facts. Hard enought that I probably work harder than some people that get paid to do the same thing. Having said that... why do we do it? I'm not sure I know what my reward is because it is very stressful.

No?
So anyone can make up posters?
http://www.wbbjtv.com/younews/119774264.html?corder=reverse&m=y&smobile=y&c=y

Ok ill eat my hat but im gonna keep looking lol your probably right

If you look at the page before this post, I posted examples of actual AA fliers. They do not just say Amber Alert at the top. So anyone with a printer can make fliers that say Amber Alert (they do it all the time for Facebook scams), but the real jargon for an AA poster is different.

With how much bad info is still being reported, we don't even know what we know.

I think she was taken to a vehicle very quickly and away from the immediate area, the lunch box was on the way. But he could have taken her anywhere and like so many other cases, I feel that if she is found at all, it will be a fair distance away, 20-40 miles or so. I personally doubt she was alive very long, he doesn't want a living witness.

Just my feelings, obviously.

Regarding the mother witnessing Holly being taken away from the house - which I take it is false - that would be over the top imo. What mom would see that and not run out/open a door and ask if everything is okay. I would think the perp would have to let go at that point or the mom would call 911 immediately.

Mark Gwyn, the director of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, said Thursday that police are "gathering information every minute," but have had no breakthroughs as of yet.

"There's new information that's happening moment by moment," Gwyn told CNN. "We have not given up hope as investigators that we're going to come to some conclusion to this soon."

The bashing in this thread stops now! We do not bash anyone. If you feel the spokesperson was ineffective you may say that. That is where it ends. The rest of this is uncalled for.
