This is exactly what i have thought since day one and i think LE is on a wild goose chase.

I feel the same way, that is why I am questioning all the things that we have heard.

I think anyone close to her has to be ruled in. We see it all the time in case after case the victim knows the perp. Sometimes it is an accident and they report a kidnapping to get out of it. LE work the case as if it is a stranger abduction because they have to search and gather evidence, but sometimes they already have an idea but don't let on. They have 2 investigations going on at the same time. I am just suspicious after all the case I have read about. If anything is off, 1+1 don't equal 2; I start looking close to home.

i 100% agree with you.

I was going to say something about the 'lower middle class' thing too....

The Bobo's are on a large acreage, and that's prestige right there. It's also not inexpensive to have trees trimmed, so for their area, they seem upper middle class at the very least. I haven't seen what kind of cars the Holly's have, so no projections from that. But in the country things are valued differently. A 'good car' is one that takes a person where they're going and brings them back without breaking down. Age and model are optional.

I agree. I am originally from Long Island, NY, and now live in rural southeastern Manitoba. The 110-acre hobby farm that my late husband and I purchased 10 years ago for the equivalent of $120,000 US had one of those ready-to-move homes on it (built somewhere else) that was placed on a basement foundation. An attached garage was added, as was outer-buildings. When we purchased it, I thought it was a big come-down from the houses where I grew up. However, the locals considered my husband and I to have money, based on the fact that we owned a farm on the river.

You are correct -- To people living in rural settings outside major urban settings, to own your home gives you status -- but to own acres of property gives you more status, no matter the house. Values are different -- children don't wear the latest fashions to school and may not have the latest model cell phone -- but they will have a phone.

Also, where I lives, as in most rural settings, cell phone service is sketchy due to the scarcity of towers -- especially if there is not a major highway nearby. I had to stand at a certain point on my farm, outside the house, to get reception on my phone. And believe it or not-- now that I live in town, my cell phone will not work at all on my property.

Finally through reading all the threads. I am so confused!

But for what it's worth, some thoughts I've had.

Assuming whoever took her is of average intelligence, I dont't think he would purposely risk his blood being spilled anywhere, so IMO it had to be hers, or she managed to injure him.

Also, to me, planting her items to throw off LE just does't make sense. Why not instead make sure that her lunch purse and possible other things will NOT be found? It just seems that from the perp's point of view, no evidence would be better than misleading evidence.

Then there's the pinging. You would think that he would make sure she does not have a phone from the beginning, even if he doesn't know about pings, why risk her being able to secretly push some buttons? Then again, maybe he was in possession of her phone when it pinged.

Yeah, I have nothing else, apart from crazy theories that I'm not allowed to post here.

The search for Holly Bobo reached day 10 on Friday and investigators said the following 48 hours could make all the difference.

Investigators hoped volunteers would take advantage of a long weekend to step up their efforts in the search for the missing 20-year-old.

"What we're focusing on this weekend is finding Holly and bringing her home,” said Lt. Brad Wilbanks of the Tennessee Highway Patrol. “We've got to do that this weekend."

Close to 700 volunteers checked in for Friday’s search, many of them prepared to camp in the woods for the weekend.

Isn't this family living in a 1,000 sq foot home, sending two kids to school? It seems like I remember an article discussing that they had very little money/resources?@?@
Anyway, I ASSUME that they have a family plan with two grown children living at home who will also need a phone. I haven't researched family plans recently, but usually you just get your first phone at the discounted price....and all of the other phones are junk phones or really costly nice ones. I don't think you get that discounted phone price unless its an individual plan.

Of course, it COULD be an individual plan, but with LE getting the phone records so quickly, I'm betting mom/dad gave permission for their release. IMHO.

Just last week, my family renewed our contract with Verizon. Blackberries were going for 29.00 and the new iphone (which is currently being investigated because Apple did not disclose the tracking "feature") was 150.00.

Something tells me that at 20, she did not leave her house with a cell thats battery was near dead. This would leave me to believe that her phone did ping more than once (and possibly still).

Not to be rude, but what were they focusing on the other days? (..."what we're focusing on this weekend is finding Holly and bringing her home..." )
