I wish the Jackson Sun would set up a "Q&A" with the Bobo family, where readers could email specific questions and they will address them, kind of like what Desiree and Kaine did with the media in Portland a few times...

In beginning of the Jane Velez-Mitchell's interview, CB is asked what he saw, he says he "saw the silhouette of two people in our garage. At the time I had no idea who either one of the people were." JVM asks him what happened next. CB says he got in touch with his mom.

In the newspaper article, CB says he saw HB's car and called his mom.

Those are 2 completely different situations.

Also, if he saw them in the garage, why isn't that included in the newspaper article. That is huge!

We will never solve this, we are not getting the whole/real story.

The whole thing's screwy.

(I may use these words as my epitaph.)

Just my own advice, here... but don't, wfgodot.

Crazy people are abundant. Be remembered for you. Not the crazies.

No that's not the how it went. If you read the article, even after Karen told him it wasn't Drew he still thought it was Drew
Actually, I'll quote it for you:

"It was after I spoke with (Mom) that I walked into the kitchen and looked out the window and saw (Holly) and a man dressed in camouflage walking toward the woods," Clint said. "I called Holly's cell phone, and it rang five times and went to voicemail, and I called Drew's phone also, and the same thing happened. What that assured me was that they were in the same place because neither one of them answered their cell phone"

and then:

"Oh, my God, Clint!" Karen told her son. "That is not Drew! Call 911!"
Karen said she told Clint to get a gun and go after the man. She hung up to call 911 again and reached Decatur County. She still had not told Clint about Drew being on the other side of the county, and Clint said he still believed the man to be Holly's boyfriend.

and then:

"When I walked out the back door, I saw a small puddle of blood, and I still
wasn't alarmed because who I thought was her boyfriend
was dressed in camo," Clint said. "I thought, 'He's killed a turkey up here on this trail behind the house and brought it to the house to show Holly before she goes to school.'"

and then:
"The thing is there was no turkey," Clint said. "I wondered why they would take the turkey back to the woods unless they were walking back to put the turkey in his truck. I was not worried until the neighbor pulled up and said her son heard screams"

So yeah, I think he was convinced it was Drew until the neighbour pulled up.
OK,this is my opinion. No accusations. I highlighted Clint's quote in red in the above post. There is no question in my mind if I had a similar delima I would rather walk out the door or call though window and just ask my question to HB in person.I find it akward for Clint to be peeking through windows~making several calls to his mother~calling HB cell~calling Drew's cell~ before finally just walking out the door and seeking out Holly to assure himself nothing hinky is going on. It just seems like common sense and the fact it is easier not to mention saving time and umpteen cell calls to just walk to he door and ask HB face to face. :waitasec:

I am not even going to say what I think about Clint finding a pool of blood and drawing the conclusion Drew was hauling a bleeding turkey all over. Not to mention if Drew had brought the turkey to show HB why would he find it necessary to take HB(without a jacket) on a hike back in the woods with him. It makes no sense. :maddening:

This is just my opinion.MOO

Tell me about it MizStery...

Just read the JacksonSun article... The neighbor James heard her scream. He was only 1/4 mile or less away..365 yards. He gets in his truck and goes to work at his construction job. He called his mother to tell her about the scream???

I'm becoming very skeptical of all the men in this town. WTH? He doesn't walk or drive over to help a damsel in distress but calls his mother and goes off to work??

Come on now! I have reached my breaking point way too often with this case..

Clint calls his momma; James calls his momma. Drew is on the phone calling his GF's momma @ 7:35 or so. I can't believe the men in this story.

They can kill animals without a thought but need a woman's approval to aid a woman in distress...I give up!!!

Maybe one of the neighbors took her..

So Drew went turkey hunting in the AM with his dad? He told Clint all about it the day before but Clint had no idea where he was going hunting. Well, it turns out that Karen gave Drew permission to hunt on HER parents' property that day but the parents knew NOTHING about it either..as Drew had to explain the story about being confronted on the property, thus the reasons for all the phone calls.

This property was on the far side of Decatur County. Drew managed to go hunting on Holly's GM's property at dawn(w/o her kge) and made it to work by 8:00am.. busy boy.

The one hole in my theory is that Karen was in the cafeteria without her cellphone. If DS had called to tell her that whoever they were afraid of was in town, why did she go to the cafeteria without her phone? Or did she? The thought just occurred to me that your idea of not wanting any record of the calls or a call might be plausible. I wonder if she really did have her phone with her and just didn't want to use it for whatever reason.

Well, according to that article today in the Jackson Sun, she was using her phone an awful lot that morning since her arrival at school. She was on the phone with her parents, drew, holly, clint, dana, etc.

How the heck she managed to not have her phone with her when she left is beyond me. It appears she spent the entire time from her arrival at school talking on the phone.

You had me in stitches. When I read your posts I just marveled at how absurd it all is. Thanks for making me smile.:seeya:

Why didn't the neighbor pull up, get Clint into his truck, tell Clint to call 911, and then drive across that darned field/yard toward the woods, with Clint pointing the way right next to him? That is what I don't understand...did ANYONE head into the woods area before LE finally arrived and started dictating procedure?

But how long had she been out of sight? Was he listening for a truck to start up, I wonder. Probably not, if he had his mom in one ear and the neighbor showing up, etc...talk about a cluster^%ck. Sounds like half the town was there within a few minutes yet no one got into those woods very fast or very far.

365 yards away from the Bobo residence, A grown man hears a blood curdling scream. This man, who hears the scream calls his mommy who calls Holly's mommy. Meanwhile Clint is calling his mommy about Holly.

Once we figure out why these men run to their mommies, we may figure out the case. Maybe it was a female who took Holly. Darn sure I haven't encountered any man in this case who could do it.

Ok, Clint talks to Drew the night before and Drew tells him he is going turkey hunting in the morning. It was said the Clint was never told where Drew was going. Drew has hunted on the Bobo property before. BUT this time he is going to hunt on the far side of Decatur County on Clint's grandparents farm....but never told Clint.

Clints grandparents were never told this was going to take place and confronted Drew and his Dad that AM, thus sending off a bunch of calls between Holly, Karen and Karen's mother. Now, as it turns out, Karen gave them permission to HUNT on her parents farm....out of the way.

Doesn't this all seem odd? I realize I am living in San Franciso area which accounts for some twilight zone episodes in itself, but this place in Tennessee is taking me to a whole new universe.

I know this is very serious but after reading your post I have only one response and the visual of this has me in stitches.

Maybe Momma has the :whoosh: in the family............:floorlaugh:

BBM The article said a RELATIVE, but didn't say which relative. It almost sounds like "relatives" were on the lookout for all kinds of turkeys in them woods.

"One of Karen's relatives did not recognize Drew and his dad, and Drew explained to them that he was Holly's boyfriend and that Holly's grandmother, Karen's mother, had given him permission to hunt on her 60 acres on the south end of the county. "

Who are these neighbors? Maybe a young man living in one of the houses had a fixation on Holly. Have they been given polys, etc.? question is rhetorical. If it wasn't an enamored known person and it wasn't a psycho, where does that leave us?

Only a psycho or a known person would approach the property in "shoot first and ask questions later" country. Who would dare go on an unknown's property down there?

It takes stretching, speculating, excusing and coming up with explanations for the abduction scenario to make any sense in this. IMO, if there was much to this story that we are all supposed to take as the truth, there is no way it could be like this, surely? I really can't think where I've ever seen something like this turn out not to be some kind of ... different thing that what is being stated.

A true story shouldn't take anywhere near this many threads and work to make sense of. It should just be a plausible scenario, and then everyone accepts it (with some debate and clarifications, of course) and carries on with that. That really isn't happening here.
