20 minutes is a heck of a long time for a stranger to hang around abducting. Perps just don't do this, unless they are insane.

Does anyone know if there were any escapees, like from jail or prison, around the time Holly went missing? Did anyone, friend, neighbor, relative, enemy, get out of jail legally around that time?

6 months after Tenn. woman's abduction from home, investigators and family still searching

Kristin Helm, a spokeswoman for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, said investigators are keeping their focus on the geographical area around the home but aren't planning any new searches.

While they have been checking out every lead, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Kristin Helm said their investigation has stayed focused on the area around her home.

"They are still concentrating on the geographical area of Parsons and Darden and the people there," Helm said.

No additional physical ground searches were planned, Helm said.

Bobo's mother Karen left her job as a teacher to devote her time to spreading the word about her daughter's abduction and searching. Her father, Dana, and older brother, Clint, have gone back to work part-time, but they spend their days off traveling throughout the region and even into other states to hand out fliers, Bromley said.

Meanwhile, Bromley said the community has found other ways to help keep the spotlight on Bobo. They hold events regularly in her name, hang ribbons, wear T-shirts with her picture, and even sell a trucking decal with her photo.

"We are always trying to think of new ways to get her face out in the public," Bromley said.

Ok, Clint talks to Drew the night before and Drew tells him he is going turkey hunting in the morning. It was said the Clint was never told where Drew was going. Drew has hunted on the Bobo property before. BUT this time he is going to hunt on the far side of Decatur County on Clint's grandparents farm....but never told Clint.

Clints grandparents were never told this was going to take place and confronted Drew and his Dad that AM, thus sending off a bunch of calls between Holly, Karen and Karen's mother. Now, as it turns out, Karen gave them permission to HUNT on her parents farm....out of the way.

Doesn't this all seem odd? I realize I am living in San Franciso area which accounts for some twilight zone episodes in itself, but this place in Tennessee is taking me to a whole new universe.

I have a hard time believing they didn't discuss where Drew was going to hunt considering it was on grandma's property! I wonder why Clint didn't go with him? Wasn't it his time off from school?

It takes stretching, speculating, excusing and coming up with explanations for the abduction scenario to make any sense in this. IMO, if there was much to this story that we are all supposed to take as the truth, there is no way it could be like this, surely? I really can't think where I've ever seen something like this turn out not to be some kind of ... different thing that what is being stated.

A true story shouldn't take anywhere near this many threads and work to make sense of. It should just be a plausible scenario, and then everyone accepts it (with some debate and clarifications, of course) and carries on with that. That really isn't happening here.

Hoping someone can answer these questions for me.

1) Do land owners have specific areas where people can hunt on their property?

2) Do they raise the animals for hunting purposes?

3) Do land owners have to get a license or permission to have people hunt on their property?

4) Was the land near the Bobo home hunting property? Do they own it? Are people allowed to hunt there?

5) Who checks whether or not the hunter has a license?

I think it's indicative of a family and a community that care a whole lot about one another.

Yes, she could've been kidnapped by someone she knew. Even someone close to the family. Dana said he believed it was someone familiar with the area and TBI remains focused in the area.

Nobody has been ruled out. Including her boyfriend and brother.

I'd rather believe it was some tragic hunting accident than believe she was kidnapped by some disgusting perv who may be torturing her every single day or has murdered her and dumped her body where she can't be found.

Sadly, if she was kidnapped the odds of finding her alive are slim to none.

I believe in miracles just as much as my fellow Christians but fasting and praying that GOD will bring her home just won't do it. There needs to be ground searches done and I don't understand why TBI has stopped nor do I understand why the family has not asked TES, Klaaskids or any other professional SAR team.

I think the oddest thing I have heard in the case was the classmates of Hollys crying because Holly wasnt in school.

Holly wasnt in Class and Holly doesnt miss class so the class mate starts to cry?

Maybe the classmate just knew something was wrong but it still strikes me as completely odd.

I know, it does seem extreme, as does her mom's immediate sense of doom. My poor mom never would have made it as long as she did, if she had this reaction every time one of us weren't where we were supposed to be. But the fact that they did have this reaction and were ultimately right to do so, does make be believe that there was some kind of danger specific to Holly they were aware of. Although in a small town, there probably are not too many reasons to be late; you can't blame traffic probably; a car accident might be the only thing her friend could think of where she would not have called...

4) is that I know for a fact that property owners have the right to hunt on their own property and that is not determined by a specific hunting 'season.' So for example, I could hunt deer on my own property at any time of year. I could also grant hunting 'rights' to someone if I so chose on my OWN property; either in exchange for money, or as a simple handshake.
I- or anyone else- could not legally hunt an endangered species; or something that has been regulated by local hunting guidelines on my property. So for example, I couldn't 'hunt' fawns ever, or does in certain seasons- but bucks are fair game year round (on private property.)

FWIW, we are not hunters- not even close; and all of our rural properties are posted. That means that anyone caught hunting anything on one of those properties, is subject to both trespassing and state hunting law violations.

I posted the link this morning. TBI said they're NOT doing any ground searches. As for the Bobos, the article and their spokesperson Bromley said they're putting up flyers, selling truck decals, wearing ribbons, tshirts and pins and praying.

Sorry. I don't call that searching. It's more of an awareness campaign than a search.
