Could Holly have told someone she was pregnant with their child, and threatened to let others know?
I like this one. Absolutely no evidence to support it, of course, but it does not require a stretch of the imagination.

BBM: Thanks wfgodot. That seems to be the major disappointment in following this case, no evidence, and an ever changing story line. :maddening: Other than Holly missing, not much else has ever been clear from the start, it's frustrating.

The minute I read your post, I recalled reading about the friend getting so upset when Holly was late for class and even approached the teacher about it and was already crying. I remembered how very odd I thought that was. Does anyone else recall that?

Yes I mentioned this before and it struck me as odd. Holly's friend was upset and yet it seemed the teacher already knew something had happened to Holly and told her that. And it was only say 8 AM or something.

Has Holly's boyfriend started dating again, and if so, how soon after her disappearance?

Could Holly have told someone she was pregnant with their child, and threatened to let others know?

Did Holly have a jealous rival in her social circle or at school?

So many possibilities.

I was just wondering if a small town mentality could be so old school and religiously ruled that one would choose to hide their out of wedlock pregnant daughter from their world? Remember when peeps used to send their pregnant teenagers away to hide for nine months?

Seems like a lot of trouble to go through but is it even possible?
The good news would be that Holly is alive; the bad news would be that these people are nuts.

How do we even know the friend was on the phone with Holly? She may have been on the phone with Clint. Thus, making it possible that something had happened to Holly the night before that the family decided to cover up.

Little things have always bothered me - like mommy making lunch and daddy leaving gas money. Those behaviors don't necessarily bother me but the emphasis on them did. As if to point out that they carried on that morning as usual like any other morning.

Snipped for space:

Speaking of Clint's vehicle, I have wondered if Clint's car was searched by LE at the the Bobo property the morning Holly went missing. Does anyone know?

I don't know if Clint's vehicle was searched or not but I think KB said, in the recent media piece, that Clint's vehicle had been parked next to Holly's vehicle. I just read above where someone thinks Clint's vehicle was parked away from the house in that other structure.

Did anybody else catch KB saying that Clint's vehicle was next to Holly's?

So, Karen was beside herself immediately upon hearing from Clint that Holly went into the woods with a camo man and now we are reminded that the friend, who had just spoken to Holly, was beside herself because Holly is 30 minutes late for school? Whatever happened to the possibility of getting a flat tire versus something terrible has happened because somebody is late?

That is so hinky imo. Seriously, I think Grandma's property should be searched for a grave asap.

As a nurse, can I just interject that nursing school works very differently than most other college classes that many of you might be familiar with. You do not 'miss school', you do not 'cut class' and most of all you do not 'blow off a test'. EVER. Doing so can get you dropped from the program - almost immediately.
Nursing school admissions are so incredibly competitive - lose your spot over one of the above, and you most likely will not get back in. So a nursing student not showing up for a test is a VERY BIG DEAL.

Not making any inferences, just an observation.

I GUESS Clint called Mom because she would know if Holly was supposed to be "out there" or at school...I just think he was not very concerned and kind of took the course of least resistance, although it must have taken longer to get a hold of his mom than to just call or walk outside...anyway, that is the only reason I can think of that makes ANY sense...

It doesn't really make sense. We're trying too hard to make things they've said make sense. Clint should have called out to Holly or immediately followed her into the woods. That's the only thing that would make sense. Calling his mother to find out if Holly should be in the woods makes no sense. The guy is 25 yo for goodness sake. Take your gun (or not) and go see what's up with your sister and see who the guy is who just led her into the woods. That's the only thing that would make any sense imo.

Granted that - but a person's car can break down. We're talking about 30 minutes here and the fellow student reportedly has a hysterical reaction because Holly is late? Same with Karen at her school. :waitasec: Makes no sense.

Man, I'm clear about this now. I'm usually all wishy-washy (Gemini rising). But, like the song, I can see clearly now.

Still not sure what or why but the family isn't telling the truth.

I don't buy the cover up thing since totally independent people (neighbors) heard the screams and called 911. Blood was found and I assume it was fresh, as it is easy to tell day old dried blood... Whatever happened happened that morning.

Thank you for your post, I don't question that whatever happened to Holly, happened that morning, I just question the sequence of events and the explanation of the sequence of events.

I think we are stretching the facts we have...and, for certain, they are few and far between.

As I recall, we do not know if the friend who got so upset at school is the same friend with which she was speaking that morning. My understanding is that these are two different girls. I could be wrong but would love a link.

Also, Clint did not call his mom to ask why Holly was in the woods. Clint called his mom, initially, to ask who was in the garage. By the time Holly got near the woods, mom was hysterical.

I don't think Holly was pregnant, although this would lend itself to a motive for whoever the father may have been.

I think Holly was a goody-goody. I don't mean to say this in a bad way. I think she presented herself as a sweet, quiet girl who was fairly spoiled.
Gee...can I say that? Am I getting too close to the ledge here?

Anyway, I think she wore gorgeous clothes, had a nice home, drove a sports car, went to college, had a cute boyfriend and her parents adored her. She was a church goer and from a religious family. She loved to sing in church and for others. (BTW, I have always tried to resolve being shy with being a public singer. The only thing more frightening to people that public speaking is public singing. This was my very first uneasy feeling regarding Holly.)

Now, according to Rule #1, we shall never make the victim appear less than perfect but...we are all human. I will let this sink in before I go further into what I think happened.

She definitely - I would say - showed the goody-goody side to most people who knew her. Most other adults especially.

PS. I think Mommy's little comment about taking all the donations and giving them to Holly for a wonderful vacation hurt (tremendously) the chances of finding Holly.

Ok, its happening....my secret feelings are slipping out just a bit at a time.

Did we hear this directly from her mom, or was it relayed by an alleged friend of the family? I can't recall.

It was through D.Burton who was the organizer for the T-Shirt sales, helping Karen in the first couple of days after Holly disappeared to select logos and color schemes.

She was later credited for coming up with the truck decals for semi trailers.
This effort seems to have not gone as well as planned.

And to whoever was asking, it was not stated that on that morning Holly was parked beside Clint. What was said by Karen in the so-called reenactment was that Holly was parked where Clint is in the video.

Now this is what made me just want to yank open the shedarage doors to see if Holly's car is inside in that the tour and semi reenactment/telling by Karen Bobo did not include Holly's car where it was that day.
It had two vehicles there that were not there that morning.
What good does that do?

I am suspicious, I'll admit it.
If Holly came home some time in the last year to visit in a car no one recognized, who would know?
Nobody, that's who.
Just saying.

If she drove away again in her car, who would know it?
Just speculating.

After all the lies/or conflicting stories that have been told about that day, I feel free to do so.

For the person she was allegedly speaking to on the phone, HPR, as I mentioned the other day has always stated on her website that she was ALREADY an LPN since 2010.
She graduated from two entirely different schools than either the Parsons Campus of TTC @ Jackson OR the University of Tennessee Martin @ Parsons Campus on the same property, where Holly was attending.

This has never been adequately explained as to how they would have BEEN classmates to be discussing a test.
Instead of the other one (BB), falling out crying, she has never once stated SHE tried to call Holly that morning. How come?
