?? I am confused Foxfire. This article seems to confirm that searchers were told what to look for. The confidentiality agreement prohibits searchers from discussing specifics.

RE: Organizers told 7 Eyewitness News, volunteers looked for items that could be found in a young woman's purse.

believe09, the organizers are the spokespersons. The searchers are the ones silenced. Guess, they had to spoonfeed the ms media a little info...The specific items may have been shared with searchers & the journalist generalized them in the article.

The Bobo family seems to be calling the shots in the Holly Bobo search now. Dana Bobo recently released info of items; camera, pink purse, etc., that the TBI had kept silent for over 17 months.

Yes, Cabin 16 was the "Holly was found alive and taken into protective custody" one (or, alternately, found dead). The cabin was on a lake - Cub Lake maybe - in Natchez or outside of town. Probably it and the Calabrase could be safely scrubbed, or put on a secondary list of some sort. Not sure if TC was even in TN.

It would make it easier on me if we just kept it. I already started a spread sheet. Sorry for being selfish, but they can just be voted below Bigfoot to make a statement.

RE: 29. The "Rogue Calabrese"28

There has not been any charges brought Tony Calabrese, nor is there going to be, imo. Imo, this is a personal attack on an individual that has not been named a suspect or POI in Holly Bobo's abduction and should be removed.
Imo, the search of his residence was intimidation by the TBI, OBI, and an off duty FBI agent which drove his POV to Ohio, and was in response to Tony Calabrese contacting TN Governor Haslam, due to investigators ignoring credible info. jmho..

I tend to agree with you. Maybe we can just exchange "rogue calabrese" with just a more generic "rogue sar".

BBM: How do we know this to be true? Because TC said so???

Welsh blood on both sides of the family; my mother was a Jones.

Not looking good either for April. Damn.

reminder: sleuthing has to have a good ground in reality and for sure not in rumor (this includes facebook rumors). If there is any msm to back up the cabin 16 theory please post it now... otherwise it is really not something we should be discussing here. Thanks folks.

This is one case that is absolutely going to drive me insane.....
I try to step away from it periodically. But I always come back.
(And get in trouble too)

What happened to Holly?
I pray we find out in my lifetime.

Paring it down:

01.
02. The "Holly knew too much"
03. The "In town, just passing through"
04.
05.
06. The "Rogue LE"
07.
08.
09. The "Retribution against a family member"
10.
11. The "Preacher, brimming with passion"
12. The "Rogue spokespastor"
13. The "Victim of a serial offender"
14. The "Knew her though churchwork"
15. The "Kidnapped her to keep her"
16. The "Rogue coon hunter"
17.
18.
19. The "Wheel in the sky keeps on turning" - wait, that's not one
19.
20.
21. The "They know who dunnit but can't close the deal"
22.
23.
24.
25.
26. The "Fell victim to human trafficking"
27.
28.
29.
30.
31.
32. The Serial Predator
33. The Loved One
34. The Passerby
35. The Friend
36. The Acquaintance
37. The Accessory After the Fact

Does that look right? I've kept 32-37 to serve as a basis - with some tinkering, re-wording, etc. - for each to be able to contain one or more theories of the same sort.

11, 12, and 14 should probably just be in one category with some catch-all name.

I did get rid of a couple which seem to be contraindicated by MSM reports, or which fall afoul of TOS. (01, 07, 10, 30)

I kept 19a because, no matter what, this should never be joyless.

Okay, what do I need to put back in or take out?

Ok, I'm going with #2, #9, and #21. :hills:

New to WS and I just don't know where to go with No. 2 or any of them. They all seem to involve rumors to some extent. I think I have a difficult time differentiating between speculating/theorizing and rumors.

The way I looked at it was my theory is just a guess whereas a rumor is spread by word of mouth. It can't be verified but told in an attempt to make you believe it is true. :twocents:

Thin line. Rumor refers to unverified accounts or explanations of events - a "statement whose veracity is not quickly or ever confirmed," according to a definition; theory requires rational, abstract thinking backed with verifiable source material, i.e. that, say, there exists a drug issue in Western Tennessee, that this can be proven, and it might be extrapolated from this that the cause of a disappearance could be knowledge of drug sales or locations. MSM sources can be found for the root of the theory. Although rumor may occasionally appear in MSM sources, it will (or should) be labeled as such, and cannot be verified objectively.

Ok, wfgodot, now my explanation makes me :blushing:

Yours is fine. The only thing I'd change is to refer to theory as "an informed guess."

I find it difficult to believe that Holly was to be a witness of some kind in an on-going criminal investigation. That sort of thing tends to come out via grapevine, especially after 18 months.

I'm stuck on a stalker of some kind, either ex-BF, a wanna-be BF, or possibly someone she did not even know, who followed her a time or two to learn the routine at the house.
