Authorities are searching for the killer of a soldier who had returned home just months before he was fatally shot.

Jacob Bishop, 35, was a father of two who came back to Lenoir City after serving a year in Poland with the Tennessee Army National Guard.

His mother found his body on the morning of Oct. `. He was physically bound and shot multiple times.

Witnesses told officers they saw a white SUV in the area in the days leading up to the killing. The same vehicle was spotted leaving the area the day Bishop was shot. Police are looking for more information on the vehicle.

Arrests have been made.

After an investigation spanning nearly five years, the LCSO said Eric Austin Byrd, of Lenoir City, and Amanda James Bishop, of Kingston, were arrested in connection to the murder.

On Tuesday, the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office announced an arrest had been made in relation to the investigation of the murder of Jacob Bishop, a dedicated member of the Tennessee Army National Guard.
