Found Deceased TN - Jean Culbertson, 57, Savannah, 22 Sept 2020

  • #21
It makes absolutely no sense to me that a random stranger would kill her and just happen to dump her on her own property. So there’s no doubt, in my opinion, this was someone known to her. I’ll just leave it at that and see where this goes.

Does he drive a red truck? Not insinuating anything- just asking.
Not that we know of. The husband might also have an alibi. (IMO)

I have a feeling that we won't learn more about the circumstances of how she was found and the condition of the body until an autopsy is performed. The police have been tight-lipped in this case from the start. There have been no searches and no description of possible suspects. I wonder how hard it is to track down the driver of the red truck. Are there any security cameras near/around the Community Center?

This is an usual case so far

Maybe she had a medical issue. Maybe pulled her car over near the convenience center (where lots of people drop off their trash)(was it open that day?). Maybe someone stopped to help her and stood with her for a while. Maybe gave her a ride to her address and while walking from drop off point to house became incapacitate? IDK, just an idea that would avoid foul play.

Wouldn't the person giving her a ride home have come forward by now?

It's possible that there are cameras at the convenience center near the community center, but I would be surprised if there were any at the community center itself. MOO.

Hand-Picked at Culbertson Farms - Tennessee Home and Farm
This makes it sound like they had a farm market open to the public, allowing strangers a way to gain familiarity with their routines and their property. I found several listings online.

They are open to the public, but I believe when we went we had to call ahead (my husband called, not me) so someone would be there to help us. It is pretty far out there, and not very busy. A stranger definitely could have been familiar with the property, but IMO less familiar with their routines. MOO.

Could the man with the red truck have pretended to be a farm customer? But how would he know that she was connected to the farm? Was he a previous customer? What if she went back home with him (if nobody else was home) and showed him around the property?

On the other hand if he pulled her over it must have been over a (fake) health or car issue. Would a woman follow a stranger to a parking lot if she didn't know what it was about?

To get into a stranger's car voluntarily would indicate a certain level of trust. If he wasn't a stranger, why didn't her family recognize his truck? Did she know him from work?

If she was taken unwillingly then she would not end up at home.

All IMO

I think that raises a good point that I agree with. Of course, if it was someone closer to home then it wouldn't be surprising.

Yes. The red truck is a mystery at the moment. If a family member owned it we would have heard about it. If the truck story is bogus, then the person telling it could be involved.

I don't think she would have gotten in the truck with a stranger, but we don't know yet who was in the truck. I would think that if someone wanted her to go back to the farm, she would have driven her own car. He could have had a gun, but she must have been planning on leaving with him or wouldn't have grabbed purse, keys and phone.

So far, SM posts are the only additional source of information.

We don't know yet who actually saw her or spoke to her last or if she sent the text message. We don't know if the cops tried to track her phone. We don't know her work schedule and whether she had shown up or not. I am sure LE knows what has happened.

We know she sent a text to her husband, saying she was going to Walmart. We know her car was found, someone saw her or someone they believed to be her where the car was found. They also saw a man in an extended cab red truck talking to her, then the truck, man and woman disappeared. The car was still there, unlocked with her purse, phone and keys not in the car. This all happened on Tuesday, Sept. 22.

Next, her body is found 150-200 feet from her house, by her husband, on Thursday, Sept 24.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Would she have left her car unlocked if she left voluntarily with someone else? There's no reliable info about the state of the car and her belongings.

She was on her way to Wallmart which was in the opposite direction. Maybe she expected to be dropped off by her car later.

The witness said that they both got out of their cars to talk. They didn't mention arguing. We can only imagine what the conversation was about. Perhaps there's a connection to her profession or her job (or previous jobs).

Info about her work and phone tracking is out there, but cannot be repeated because it's not from an approved source. It might not even be true. Just like the info about the car and personal items.

I missed that part. Do we know if she still had her purse, phone & keys when she was found? It’ll be interesting to see how long that phone was pinging & where.

If you search public FB posts using "Jean Culbertson", her son makes interesting comments regarding the phone pings, last time seen, etc. Not sure if this is what @indicolite22 was referring to or not. Obviously, his claims are not cooberated by any other source that I am aware of.

Yes. Also SM posts/comments can't be discussed here (per WS rules) if they are not by the victim, official suspect, police or news media.

I have only seen that info on SM, not by allowed sources.
