Yeah, this was way back in college. I woke up the next day in my bed, no clue. My friend was like "but that was only your first drink and all of a sudden you were falling down in the gutter so I called a cab and got you home." Really thankful I have friends like that, and I never let another guy at the bar buy me a drink again. I never bothered going to the ER, so not sure what it was. The thing about this is he could still have water in his lungs from technically drowning, even if he was too out of it. Do we know anything about the timeline prior?
Where were they before? I know she said she had been drinking, but was it at a bar? I may have missed it, so please excuse me if I did.

We don't know where she was drinking. I guess it was at the house prior to their taking off in the vehicle. Remember, the neighbor says that she saw them leave in the vehicle at about 10:30 p.m. This is the same neighbor whose door she would knock on at 1:30 a.m. requesting help.

I had a similar experience to yours, only it was combining some kind of cold medication with alcohol (I remember some tequila shots, in addition to whatever alcoholic beverage I was drinking). I was sick with a cold but, being young and stupid, not wanting to miss out on the partying. I was home from school at the time (after sophomore year in college). Went out to a party that night. I woke up the next morning still at the party! I called my mother pronto and told her what had happened. I think I woke her up (thank the dear Lord she didn't really miss me!). Never happened again.

Save a seat for me at that table, will ya? None of this had made sense from the beginning..and I hope that with all parties involved working in the EMT/Firefighter realm that nothing will be overlooked in favor of the wife. So much of this just doesn’t add up for me.

Honestly if poo ever hit the fan in my life I would probably delete my fb too. Like the second I started getting crazy messages from people. Sometimes LE even recommend doing that in order to slow rumors and prevent threats. I don’t think that’s too abnormal.

Just thinking out loud here, because it’s crossed my mind. What if they learned of their friends passing, had some drinks then decided to go for a drive to calm down and talk it over. Maybe they had more to drink then she admitted too and he went off the road. Having the windows down while cruising around (even in colder weather) isn’t too crazy. She bailed out of the car, he didn’t. She either was in shock, too drunk or did have a head injury which caused the delay and weird behavior after. Not saying that’s what happened but maybe? I can’t explain the no pants thing though. Hahaha maybe they were drunk and getting frisky? Maybe even while driving? Just random thoughts.

Also If the kids are still living at home they might have an idea of what the situation was before they went out for a drive. Was Jesse there even? Were they drunk? Upset? They may have some insight.

Is it possible this was actually a murder suicide, could the wife have been caught with the friend , something fatal happened to him that resembles suicide, Jesse leaves, wife chases him down the street with no pants on and he drives himself into the river . No evidence to support any of this. Just a theory of my own. I do suspect an affair in the mix of some sort. To many coincidences. IMO

I get a sense that some sort of conflict was going on between them that led to this tragedy. Just don't know what it was. Anything is possible.

There. Is. No. Way. Not buying this whole shebang for a single second.

Not buying what? That they were bringing his body back to the county? Or something else?

You didn’t ask me but......I think not buying wife’s story. Tough story to buy!

Gottcha. I was a tad confused. Lol. Yeah I’m not sure I buy it either yet. Waiting to see if there is a connection to the suicide that happened hours before first.

There is no way this man went into the water and "drowned" he has too much experience as a Marine and Emergency Service!

*actually he was on the left, but no biggie.
The NFD says, he worked on Engine 2, was an Advanced EMT, Hazmat, Rope Rescue and Vehicle Extrication qualified.http://fox17.com/news/local/body-of-missing-nashville-firefighter-recovered

Experienced cops have gun accidents. Having training does not automatically protect one from accidents, or panicking.

And especially if he was intoxicated. Not saying that is the case but if so he could've easily drown. Will be quite interesting to see cod/tox report.

And if his friends suicide and his death are related he may have been committing suicide as well? Definitely not saying that is the case but it’s a possible scenario. Lots of possibilities. I’m hoping the LE are doing a thorough job and looking into what exactly happened.

Drugs change eguation. Especially Ambian. I texted, called people and DROVE on this drug, with no reconciliation of having done so. Felt fine and refreshed in the morning. With no remembered ever of night before.

One Halloween night, I had a lot of candy left over. As I turned in for the night, I thought about the candy bowl, practically overflowing with delicious chocolate treats on account of a lack of trick or treaters. I so badly wanted to go back downstairs and get a little candy bar to eat before I went to bed. I resisted that temptation.

The next morning, when I woke up, there was an empty candy wrapper on my nightstand. I had taken an Ambien sleeping pill before turning in. I had ZERO recollection of getting that candy bar! I had taken it at other times, with no such effect. But, the directions are to take it when you are IN BED and not planning to do anything else. I guess that candy craving was just too much!

I have heard horror stories about ambien. I don’t think you could pay me enough money to take one.

My husband is a disabled veteran and was on Ambien and Vicodin... one night he actually thought he was writing in a book and he was actually writing on our wall, he hallucinated green colored fairies. He had full conversations with his Army buddies that weren't there and hadn't seen in 3 yrs and was incredulous that no one else could see them. On another night, he ate an almost full bucket of fried chicken while sleep walking and did not remember doing it. Needless to say, he refused to take either of those medications again.

My goodness. That’s awful! I don’t blame him a bit. Scary stuff.
