Found Safe TN - Jordan Allen Gorman, 9, Joelton, 15 Nov 2020

I just thought of something. If he slipped under/within a rock crevice, IR won’t pick up him up. This is something that I’ve discussed before with a liaison of Rocky Mountain Search and Rescue wrt another case. The rock will block IR detection.

Eta:
I wonder if there is such a thing as a drone fitted with GPR.
I hadn't realised.
Such a shame his clothes were bland colours, grey and blue with just a red stripe on sleeve of short sleeved t-shirt or shirt..

This is what I’m concerned with. Not the bare feet. I’m gonna take it as a given that he has no shoes or cellphone as reported by LE. The crevices and drop-offs bother me. Perhaps he has run off before and did go to the woods with an assumption arising - or maybe they were left with ‘where else could he have gone, dependent upon the geographical location’. Our locals here are our best experts re: the area. I do appreciate their input.

Temps didn't stay in the 60's, though.

They dropped significantly.

Yes, the temp did drop. I believe the low was 37 Sunday night. But do you think a 9 y/o that was running off would stop to think, “it’s going to be cold later, I need to get prepared for that”?

I am so nervous about this presser. Lord, help!!!

Here’s another thought: When we have toddlers, for example, “wander off”, the maximum search radius is smaller than what I would imagine the maximum search radius could be here, considering the fact Jordan is older and capable of potentially traveling a further distance (al though we have seen some surprising distances with toddlers).

I would expect the PC may mention an expanded search radius.

“The @TBInvestigation is expected to hold a press conference here at 10:30am We’ll bring it to you live on @WSMV

Bumping PC link / 7 minutes.

The thing that draws my attention away from him just running into the woods is the statewide Amber Alert. Those aren't given without fitting certain criteria.

That stands out to me as well. Seemed a bit over the top for a child missing, presumably running off into the woods. Kids can move fast, but statewide? Not at all likely.

with no scent going into the woods and his last true sighting at the end of the driveway, it could be the AA is put out to cover bases in case he did somehow get into a car. moo

(I wonder if dogs did alert to his scent along the driveway?)

Question, has it rained recently? If so, this is favorable as rain does help K9 scent abilities. I do recall from upstream that wind was mentioned as hindering the dogs’ scent capabilities (still catching up).

This is odd to me. I would think his scent would be all over the yard and leading short distances out into the area as he played over the last few days. Its very odd if the dogs aren't getting anything. JMO

I'm starting to wonder if Mom and Dad were even home when he went missing, Sun morning could they have been at church?
I know in the beginning things are reported and change as the case progresses.
We have heard what Dad has said but nothing from Mom.
Who was home and who made the 911 call?

The statewide element leads me to believe there are possibilities of some form of transportation involved.

recovery effort now vs rescue

Presser says they are going to decide on bringing volunteers in. So they haven't found him yet but are wanting to ramp up the search.
