There has been a little on the Nashville reports, but on the local pages it is being nipped in the bud. People are holding out hope and supporting the family unless/until they are suspected of wrongdoing by LEO. Hope that continues! I know the community is bursting to do something to help!!
IMO MOO

Unusually, I saw zero strange or troll posts on this occasion.
A rare thing, indeed.

Has there been an effort to search neighboring homes? In past cases, I believe it's common to also check the local RSO data.

How about unoccupied homes/cabins in the area? Or the trunks of older vehicles?

What are the chances that with 5 kids in the house, he took an old jacket or shoes that no one noticed missing? we have old shoes in the garage for passing down to younger kids, messy outdoor projects or just things I haven't gotten around to donating or throwing out. I also have a huge box of things ready to donate when its full, probably some outgrown sweatshirts or coats in there. Maybe he grabbed something from a similar box in his home? I want to hold out hope for him, but...

  • #346
Yeah, I had really thought the AA was a precaution due to the fact the parents seem to have not seen him actually go into the woods.
The fact that someone brought up lie detector tests and bringing in the FBI...
Yikes. bit of whiplash here, moo

WHERE ARE YOU JORDEN?!?
Police reiterated that no one has been named a suspect.

A suspect for what? Causing Jorden to run away? Arguing with Jorden? They’re not leaning toward abduction. So there must be some nefarious suspicions going on in the LE collaboration. I imagine the FBI has now taken the lead. Hopefully, they’ll give the afternoon press conference mentioned as a possibility.

except that the description doesn't include a jacket - just jeans and a t shirt - if we are to believe that is what he was last seen wearing then I don't think a jacket could be involved at this point.

There are bits and pieces floating around on social media. I noted a reporter asked a question at the pressor this morning regarding Jorden & adoption. TBI PIO did not answer and suggested the reporter contact Department of Children's Services.

Pretty sure the reporter would not receive any information, but am curious to see if there will be any mention of contact.

It's stated above that one of his sisters saw Jorden in the driveway. Do we know how old the sisters are?

You're right. IF we believe the unknown person who saw him run into the woods. IF it was a sister who last saw him at the end of the driveway, it seems unusual that she would be able to describe his clothes so detailed (red stripe on shirt sleeve), depending on her age. and IF he ran immediately after she saw him, which it doesn't sound like she witnessed him running into the woods, just standing at the end of the driveway.

I dont know, I'm starting to see too many small inconsistencies to believe the narrative we've been given so far.

From Nick Beres NC5

"Apparently, the highly-trained K-9 units have not picked up any scent of the child.
This is unusual considering they were out on the scene quickly the first day ... and there has been no rain to wash away the scent. So now I'm told investigators will begin again questioning the parents and everyone else who had contact with Jorden. At some point, it's possible some will be asked to take lie detector tests."

This boy lives there.
How can there be no scent of him for the dogs to hit on, when he LIVES there?
Maybe one of our K9/SAR folks can chime in on this?

A sea-change seems to be happening.
I expected that his parents would have made a public appeal by now. Is that a valid expectation?
There are SAR dogs and there are cadaver dogs, each with entirely different training and within those two disciplines there are countless subsections.
SAR dogs would have ben given an item of his unwashed clothes or footwear or both. They would usually leave from last place person was known to be seen having ingested their scents thoroughly.
They had 5 teams, all would have headed in a different direction, watching the dogs carefully, having cleared the area of people who could mask or interfere with scents..
They should have picked up a scent close to where he allegedly entered the forest, at the very least... more think about this, the more uneasy I'm becoming..
Cadaver dogs have different training, some trained for underwater finds only, others we all know about.. Up to known it's just been the K9's.
It is possible the cadaver dogs will now enter the search, possibly starting at the child's alleged home.
Home, vehicles, all outbuildings and every centimetre of their land will be checked while another team will go to forest, maybe.
I know I'm just stating what everyone knows already, I'm just typing mindlessly, almost because now I'm scared.

Not sure we've seen ages yet- but she was at least 10 ("older sister")
I'm wondering now if some other information is leaking out from siblings making LE question the timeline..

ETA: I don't find it suspect if they don't put out a public statement, since its clear that no one is looking at this as an abduction, a plea doesn't really help, and as we've seen (and done) people pick apart every single action and word, I would actually probably advise them not to, to be honest.

I too hope that they are going to scour every inch of their property with cadaver dogs ASAP.

Wouldn't contact with DCS be expected if the children were adopted from foster care? Does anyone have a link that that's how the adoption happened? Sometimes parents who adopt Will be contacted if a sibling is placed in care in an effort to keep siblings together. Does contact with DCS or the foster system cease after adoption?

I'm concerned about there not being a scent. 5 teams of dogs? I don't know what to make of that.

My thoughts too on the other children

If FBI take the lead, info will close down immediately.
A few monosyllables is all we can expect.
I really warmed to approach taken by TBI and Sheriff, humane and so natural and approachable.

I really don't think there were 5 dog teams but rather 5 groups of searchers, at least one group with a dog.
I don't think K9s are super accessible to have 5 groups of them, moo

Re: the family situation. Earlier reports stated Jorden and his two sisters, along with 2 other children are living at the home. This contradicts that:

"There are four children living in the home and three of them including Jorden were adopted through the state." Nick Beres NC5

No ages of any of the kids, is mentioned.

almost all if yesterday's media reported it
ETA, 5 search teams, I don't know how many dogs they had.
Sometimes just one or two guys will go in with a single dog , many of whom can cover extensive areas.
