From the MSM we know the family began to foster & adopt after their bio son's death in 2011.
While we do not know how long Jorden and his 2 sisters have been part of the Gorman family, it's possible they have been with them for many years.
Jorden is 9 now, and it's been 9 years since the loss of their bio son.
I'm not inclined to suspect bio parents/family or anything like maybe he was running away to bio family, until we know how long Jorden has actually been part of the Gorman family.

I cannot imagine adopting a child immediately upon the death of my own - I would need some time to grieve I think - it's quite admirable if that was the timing for this family.

I do feel we are getting mixed messages now. I guess we just need to wait this out.

Wouldn't contact with DCS be expected if the children were adopted from foster care? Does anyone have a link that that's how the adoption happened? Sometimes parents who adopt Will be contacted if a sibling is placed in care in an effort to keep siblings together. Does contact with DCS or the foster system cease after adoption?

My post was regarding a reporter contacting DCS. I'm sure LE already has the history, as the PIO said they have a two-prong approach in this case - Actively Searching for Jorden & Getting to the WHY he ran away (Investigation).

A reporter who contacts DCF will likely get the standard "we cannot release confidential information regarding minors" ...

Law enforcement says right now they have plenty of experts on the ground and don’t need volunteers. Yet. If/when that changes we will let everybody know

I don't think Jorden is coming home safe poor baby. I hope his family, but specifically his two sisters are getting lots of support right now.
His siblings might be able to shed way more light than we even know.

Do we know if deceased son is bio son? He and another of his siblings have a different surname. Not that it matters really, may just indicate that the Gormans have been fostering and adopting children for decades. And from many of the people I know that foster and adopt, it takes special people with a huge loving heart to make other people’s children their own. And it’s true that children in foster care are often coping with past trauma, no matter their age in entering the system. There are always exceptions of course...to both the children ... and the adults that take them in. I pray that Jorden is found soon...and all impacted can begin to understand and heal. All my own opinion of course.

I just know I can't go through another Gannon - I would love for this one to turn out like the little boy found in the woods several months ago - I've said it before - we need a WS miracle here.

Me too, as I don’t have a great deal of confidence in what actually happened. Unfortunately, I am confident in how this ends.

I live close enough to hear the choppers at night and it has been absolutely heartbreaking. The woods out here are very dangerous, but at the same time I don’t know how he hasn’t been found yet. I don’t want to believe it, but I’m leaning more toward this wasn’t a run away as it was an abduction or worse...

I haven’t been able to pin point the house yet. There are many streets out here that share a “driveway” with other houses and then have separate drives that branch off from that. From what I’ve read there are 4 houses that sit off of one of these driveways.
