I am with you, some really poor reportings

Here is a more sensitive one

So was she even missing at all? How did he get his daughter to begin with, if he wasn't the custodial parent/guardian of her? Who is she living with? Was she visiting with her Dad and the grandmother panicked?

I'm torn on this because of the lack of information. Poor sweet girl has gone through enough, losing her mother, being left paralyzed from the accident, breaking her leg, and now today being brought in to the police by her Dad.

It sounds a bit fishy to me on the part of the grandma. In an article linked at the page from the above link, she says Children's Services told her they were planning to revoke custody from Jason. Why would they tell her that, I've personally been involved with Children's Services after my now ex-husband committed crimes against our children and they tell you exactly zero about what they plan to do. They're not even allowed. And the whole 'suicide by cop' thing... you don't go from that one night to calmly showing up with your child the next day and the sheriff saying they don't see any concerns. Grandma also doesn't seem too worried about Kalynn losing her dad also, but only about Kalynn hearing him talk about 'suicide by cop'. Not, "she shouldn't also lose dad", no, "what would go through her head hearing this". There is a distinction. Obviously this is my opinion only. I hope he's not being railroaded.

Yep. This article states that grandma dropped K off at her dad's on Sunday after a scheduled visit. He posted on his FB how much he missed her the night she spent with her grandma. It's obvious they all love the little girl tremendously. Hopefully everyone involved can just step back and take a deep breath.

If he didn't do anything wrong and is innocent of abuse, then what a mean spirited thing to do to a man who's lost his wife and is dealing with trying to help his darling daughter live a decent and happy life while making adjustments daily for her. I am sure the grandmother is devastated losing a daughter, but if she isn't careful, she could end up losing her son-in-law and granddaughter as well. I wish them peace. :heartbeat:
