I am not recording the show, just in case anyone is looking for it!
and then went on vacation to Florida. Then they got remarried to each other. Has anyone looked into that he may not have been shocked because she would say she was going to leave or threaten divorce? I tried to look up court records but I can't find them online to see how many time divorce had been filed. Normally I would look right at the husband but in this case something just doesn't seem right.
If I was divorcing and we still lived together and my STBX was missing in the am I would not be looking for him. I would assume that he was out with his new found freedom or didn't want me to know.
As far as picking up the 9 yo from the sleep over. It happens all the time she didn't have to be sick she could have said she didn't feel well so mommy would come get her. Staying the night at someones house may not have turned out to be as fun as she thought. Little kids can be mean. All sorts of things to make her want to come home. If she was sick and needed medicine I would have woke up STBX and had him go while I watched her or vice versa . Since he was already awake and they spoke if there was an issue of needing meds wouldn't have been done then? How many 24 hour stores are in that area ?
As far as clothing . She had been working cleaning hud homes. Could she have had extra clothing in her car? This would be logical. I didn't see that they found her unclothed (can someone clarify )
After reading the text messages from Karen to friends, I get the impression that she was doing really well. Each time she got another job, she was really excited. She was seeing her life taking off, building confidence and succeeding on her own. I would like to know more about her husband, as it's possible that he viewed himself as the head of the family and he viewed Karen and the children as entirely dependent on him. Some men believe that their wife and children cannot survive without them. If Karen was excited about her successes and her husband was feeling like he wasn't needed ... that dynamic isn't good. Her life was moving forward, and he may have felt that he was being left behind, discarded. Those feelings could result in resentment ... anger, arguments, conflict and violence.
NG now discussing sheet rock screws with the owner of a tire shop. He is saying they can puncture tires. Tire was off the rim. Could have been driven for a period of time if tire was under-inflated.
My question: wasn't it stated this vehicle had a warning system to alert of low tire pressure? Why would Karen ignore it?
:waitasec:
Maybe she didn't. Maybe the tire was accidentally flattened while being driven in the woods/road around where her body was left - yet the vehicle had to be driven back close to home, so that the perp would be close enough to walk the rest of the way.
Perhaps the idea to leave the vehicle there was an afterthought.
(ETA: My 'low tire' indicator is on 24/7. They have tried repairing it, but it doesn't last. I've heard others with the same issue. I just ignore mine.)
If what Karen's friend posted last night is correct and LE has a POI, then I don't see how the perp could be some random serial killer or nut case who happened by. Would more likely be someone known to Karen. JMO
Agree. Either known to Karen, residing in the neighborhood, or both.
