Mother-of-two Keila Freeman was last seen the morning of September 6, 2016, at her home in the Hickory Hill neighborhood of Memphis, Tennessee. The 29-year-old's husband, Randall Freeman, told investigators he last saw his wife around 3:30 a.m. that morning when she returned home. He said she pulled her car into the garage, but she not come inside. He called Keila's mother around 6:00 a.m. saying he could not find her. Keila's car keys were still in the ignition of her car and her purse was inside the house on the coffee table. In a twist police say is unrelated, Keila's husband Freeman was arrested on charges of arson for throwing a flaming object into the home of a family of five several days after his wife vanished. The relationship between Randall and that family is not clear. Authorities have called Keila's disappearance suspicious and have not ruled out foul play.

Now WREG learned her family put her Hickory Hill home, which was in her mom’s name, up for sale a few weeks ago.

It has since been sold, and the new residents have moved in.

Normally I would say selling the home is suspicious but it sounds like maybe her mom owned the home but didn't live there. Possibly Keila paid rent and her mom could not afford two mortgages (if she owns another home). Still sad to see that they sold it. It feels like they are admitting Keila is not coming back.
I hope there was no evidence in the home that is now lost because it changed owners.

The husband of missing woman Keila Ashford Freeman was back in court Friday.

Randall Freeman is charged with 13 counts of attempted first-degree murder and multiple counts of attempted aggravated assault.

The judge announced Friday that Freeman has been ruled competent to stand trial after an evaluation ordered his defense attorney.

“There are no severe mental diseases or defects that would have prevented him from appreciating the wrongfulness of his actions,” said Judge Lee Coffee.

Freeman is facing a laundry list of charges surrounding the firebombing of a family’s home, which police said he attempted twice before successfully setting it on fire.

The underlying question in every court appearance is what happened to Randall’s missing wife Keila.

According to FOX13 sources, the body recovered is that of Keila Ashford Freeman. However, police will likely wait for an official autopsy before confirming the identity.

The main suspect in her disappearance has been her husband, Randall Freeman. FOX13 has learned Randall Freeman recently provided information about Keila’s whereabouts as part of an agreement.
The plea agreement has not been accepted yet in court, but it centers around his arson and attempted murder charges.

Randall Freeman is charged with 13 counts of attempted first degree murder and multiple counts of attempted aggravated arson.

All those charges surround the firebombing of a family’s home, which police said he attempted twice before successfully setting it on fire. Freeman was indicted for four separate incidents.
Detectives said Freeman threw Molotov cocktails at a home three different times while kids were inside. He is charged with 13 counts of attempted first degree murder, two counts of attempted aggravated arson, and one count of aggravated arson.

According to the Memphis Police Department, Freeman’s remains were discovered off Barnstable Road near South Germantown Road in December, more than two years after she went missing from her Southeast Memphis home.

Police questioned Freeman’s family and her husband, Randy Freeman, who two days earlier had been accused of setting a nearby house on fire. Authorities said he believed the homeowner was having an affair with his wife.

After digging in a Binghampton neighborhood where Keila Ashford Freeman's husband worked and finding no sign of the missing woman, her remains were discovered a year later 15 miles away and on Wednesday her husband pleaded guilty to killing her.

Randall Freeman pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and other charges and was sentenced to 28 years by Judge Lee Coffee after approving a plea agreement.

"We're just happy to have closure now, put her to rest, and move on and make sure the children are taken care of," said her sister Kendra Hightower.
