What I want to know is how did her parents not know she was pregnant, especially with twins?? I work in a profession where I see pregnant women often...I have never seen a woman pregnant with TWINS that would be able to hide the pregnancy. I'm not blaming the parents in any way, but that raises a few questions about them to me? I mean, did the thought their daughter could be pregnant even cross their mind, but they just dismissed it because of their religious beliefs?

Even IF her family would have been unsupportive...put the babies up for adoption for crying out loud! This is just deplorable. I hope she gets the death penalty. Let's hope these parents are "Christian" enough not to lie for their daughter just to save her.

I hope they don't turn out to be defensive of her like Casey Anthony's parents!!!

I just want to know if she has PPD or PPP. I haven't seen any reports of that possibility, and I'm not seeing signs of it.

I would think if she has PPD or PPP, her attorney and family would be pleading for her to be immediately hospitalized, but they're not.

Bond is set for $250,000.....WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And even if she didn't take precautions and got pregnant. TN has safe heavens law. She could have dropped them off somewhere. No questions asked. People would be lining up to adopt them.

Texas is another state that has them

it needs to be at 1 million each baby, CASH ONLY

Not going to happen in Sumner co. Didn't happen in another big case with an admission in the affidavit, though it wasn't a murder case. Not shocked at this at all.

I think the atty did say they would be seeking mental health care for her. I feel pretty confident they will hospitalize her if for no other reason than it's a safer environment than being in the public right now.

As for PPD/PPP, I am fairly sure that shows up in the days and weeks after birth, not at the moment thereof. I think whatever mental break or issue lead to this occurred long before the birth.

All 50 states have safe haven laws. However, because each state has their own, it can be confusing as to what the procedure is for each state. In some areas, you can drop a baby off with practically any person in a uniform (police, firefighter, doctor, hospital staff, social worker). In some areas you have to state your intent (I'm surrendering this child under Safe Haven) and in some areas, you merely have to hand them over and walk away. Some states make sure that their Havens are marked with big Day Glo colored signs and iin some states, you have to Google your fingers off to find your nearest haven. We need a cohesive system that works the same way everywhere. JMO.

In this case, I don't buy that she wasn't aware of safe haven, and even if she wasn't aware, she had nearly the whole pregnancy to figure something out. There is nothing to suggest that that she looked into adoption, which she surely had to know about, or abortion, which she would have had time to do, if she knew about the pregnancy from the beginning. Google any set of words related to "pregnant" and "don't want the baby" and you will get information on safe haven laws...she just wanted these children to die, there were options, she just didn't care to explore them because it would have cost her money and the babies would have stayed alive, which went against her plans.

I absolutely agree!!! This was a selfish act and now that she is caught she will be the first to scream for a mental defense. I'm not buying it for a second. You give birth, place your murdered babies in a laundry basket, get up and go to work, not one day but two, assist the dentist while he works on CHILDREN'S teeth....nope not mental, just evil.

Is it possible that she was pregnant by another man and not her BF?

Maybe that's one of the many reasons she chose to do what she did.

Dozens of people showed up in court to show their support of Lowe. Ten character witnesses, including her father, described her as warm, kind, loving, and respectful of her parents.

Her father Mark Lowe called her "a model daughter" and "as good as it gets."

snip

Prosecutors argued Lowe was a 25-year-old woman – not a teenager – and that she knowingly suffocated and killed her twin infant boys.

Dozens of people showed up to support Lindsey.

How many showed up to support the precious murdered newborn babies? Just one? The prosecutor?

This just makes me cry. So many people would have taken those precious babies and loved them and cared for them. They could have had a life, a good life.

Most mothers put their baby to their breast when they cry, not put their hand over their mouth until they die! Lindsey Lowe's instincts are defenseless, jmo.

JMHO but I think we're going to find out that there was google searches done on home birth either at home or through her work computer, and stuff of that nature, I also wonder what happened to the placenta(s). I think this was planned from the beginning.

This is what ticks me off about people who do this to kids........ Either A. Abstain from Sex until Marriage or use some sort of protection....... BC or Condom or something else.

How hard is it to go to the store and buy a box of Condoms or go to PP where you can get BC for free.

She's old enough to know where babies come from...... so if she didn't want to be a parent she should have taken precautions.

It's always the kids who suffer.........

I'm also not buying the "I'm Pregnant and my parents are going to be mad at me" angle.

She's 25, not 15. She has NO sympathy from me and I hope they give her the DP.

Why didn't she just get an abortion, sheesh, unpopular choice I know but someone of her mindset didn't seem to have a problem murdering these babies so if she found herself pregnant why not just abort, at least that's legal (unfortunately!) Lesser of two evils???
