GUILTY TN - Lindsey Lowe charged in deaths of newborn twins, Hendersonville, 2011 *guilty*

  • #141
As the mother of 2 young adults..24 and 25, I would like to think that I know something about what mine are into and young people in general. Saying that, I cannot believe that she has not had sex with her boyfriend in the past 6 months. Where has he been this whole time??

Here in Tx its still summer, but in other parts of the country summer ended. Had she NEVER put on shorts or a bathing suit in the past 6 months? She is a thicker girl so I do believe that she could have hidden 15-25 pds from everyone if she was fully dressed with scrubs on, but still. No one questioned her? Talk about being invisible.

Dr Drew calls it a "tragedy". Its more than a tragedy, its a heinous CRIME. MURDER x2!

I am not justifying what she did by any means, because I think it is horrible. That family was under a lot of pressure with the mom's illness. She had cancer six years ago and it had returned in April. Lindsey had been one of her caretakers. Perhaps this is the reason she didn't want to tell her parents. She didn't want to put any more burden on them. But in doing what she did, she has put an almost unbearable burden on them. They would have gotten over her being pregnant. They will never get over this. How sad for everyone involved! She had only been working at her job for two months in the billing dept. of the pediatric dentist. They couldn't compare how she looked previously. I had wondered why they hadn't noticed. If only she had been able to go to one of these people who are supporting her, how differently this all could have turned out. She could have gotten help so many places. Why did she not understand that? Everyone who has daughters should talk to them and make them understand that if they should ever get pregnant, there is help available. Don't leave it to schools, or churches, or public service announcements. Do it yourself and you will know it has been done.

OT but I'm so glad my parents made that clear to me before I even started any sort of sexual behavior. I can't imagine the mentality it'd take for someone 25 - my same age - to fear telling people she's pregnant..my God, it's not that big of a deal - even in the Christian world, they WILL forgive and bless you and your children!! At least that's been my experience as an avid churchgoer and once an unwed mother myself!

Does it seem to anyone else that in our society children are treated as belongings. They belong to the parents, so whatever they choose to do with them is their right. Beat them, smother them, chop them up, throw them away......get off with a smack on the wrist.

If an outsider came in and smothered these two babies then confessed, would they be out on bond now??? Sdomething is wrong with this.

ITA. If she was accused of doing this to someone else's children, would there be all these people supporting her?

This has got to be the dumbest reason ever for someone to go to prison for life......... Your scared that your parents will be mad at you because your pregnant

So you kill your kids.......

Never get to Pretend to be a :hero:
Never get to say: :loveyou:

My parents were extremely strict, Fundamentalist Baptist. I was not allowed to wear any garment above the knee, I could not wear a two piece bathing suit, I could only wear very light minimal makeup, I was not allowed to date. Boy were they shocked when I wound up pregnant at 17! My father was mad, my mother was extremely sad... but guess what.. The church gave me a huge baby shower, my father's family gave me a baby shower too. And when my little girl was born she was the apple of my dads eye, and the most loved little girl in their church. So I do not buy the "I am afraid my parents will be mad" defense either. If Lindsey was loved at home and a happy girl, which she appeared to be, then most likely she knew in her heart that her family/church would love the baby too. So IMO, there has to be some other motive.

I do have one question though- what are the chances that maybe she has some kind of brain tumor or brain disorder? Are brain tumors herditary?

No offense, but just because your family and church was accepting of your teenage pregnancy, that doesn't really mean much for this situation.

We don't know her. We don't know her family. We have no idea how any of the people she knew would have reacted, especially behind closed doors.

Like I said earlier in the thread, I've seen these types of situations firsthand, where families weren't so welcoming and understanding. I've seen teenage girls that felt that they had no choice but to have an abortion, because their family just wouldn't have been able to handle it. And let me tell you, people thought that her parents were wonderful and understanding as well. But those people just weren't there to see what it was like when that front door closed....

I am sorry but all these people, including her parents, are still supporting her even after she was accused of killing the children. Isn't it pretty obvious they would have supported her if she told them she was pregnant, if they still support her after she is accused of murdering the kids?

A whole year before trial????

I question if she is now mental at all or just plain evil (I'll go with the latter).

Elizabeth Johnson is another "Momster" I want charged with Murder........ If she and Lindsey Lowe get off, I will be outraged........

Both of them are sick, evil human beings

If she was suicidal in jail and they feared that she would kill herself does it make sense to allow her to go home?

If her mental condition is so bad why not send her to a mental hospital for evaluation and for her protection from herself?

Is her trial being scheduled for a year off hoping the public will forget about it? I don't understand that. The public deserves a fair and speedy trial for people like this too. We have already seen what she is capable of.

She'll have a year of freedom and the opportunity to flee the country.

Oh I'm sure that as soon as bail was met she started having all kinds of mental problems especially the types that are physically apparent to the public's eye. These women who are murdering their babies due to an inconvenience factor are really pizzzzzzzzzing me off.:maddening:

My word! As a parent I cant fathom what I would have to say to her. She was at work when she was arrested so did her parents even speak to her before court? I know I wouldnt ask how her day went, do you know what I mean? To go to bed and wake up to 2 dead babies that no one knew about? I just cant imagine. What a rollercoaster to be on, especially her mom. Wow. Just wow. I want to hear the 911 call.

That had to be a really hard call for her father to make. I can't even imagine but thank God he is not an Anthony.

This has to be a terrible "place" for her parents to be in. I hope she goes back to the same bedroom.

I wonder what the boyfriend will do? Think about it. Would you want to marry someone who is capable of murdering two infants?

If he is smart and uninvolved he will probably move on. I would hope!
