I live in TN, I see at least 3 silver Nissan Rogue's on my 45 drive home. I hunt each and every one of them down to see who is in them. If someone doesn't know in the state of TN, they aren't watching tv, listening to the radio or pumping their own gas.

None of those have been reported.

While he may have had, or obtained, more than the $4,500, that amount would get him into a location where the cost of living is cheaper and getting a cash paying job is easier.

The above is my opinion.

Right. Agreed. I don't think LE would necessarily know if he obtained money in some of those ways.

I wonder why he didn’t sell the Jeep. They hold their value. He could have gotten a good bit from it.
Maybe he was still paying on it.
Not that I want to get into his head, but he knew she couldn't drive it.
MOO

There may be several reasons and here are a couple. 1) His wife's name may have been on the Jeep title. 2) Selling the Jeep would initiate a question as to why, thus, would require it to be sold the day he left. The best way to accomplish that is to sell it to a dealership. Typically, that would require transportation back home. As you can see, this would take up valuable time on a day you planned to leave.

The above is my opinion only.

I think LE would know about all but one of those situations.

The above is my opinion only.

I tend to think he could've borrowed money from someone who isn't cooperating or who isn't volunteering the info in fear of being charged with aiding him.

I think he could sell personal possessions without any paper trail.

I do agree retirement withdraws would be found out within a couple days easily. And pay day or other loans would show up on credit reporting or may be reported early...though it may take a little bit of time to show up if he, say, took out the loan out of state.

I also don't believe LE is telling us everything they know. They may know of other funds he has too.

I appreciate your question. The adventure is the hope of new, warm, sandy, and tropical destinations. Continuing to travel with that goal keeps the dream alive until they arrive.

Upon arrival, she sees that he can deliver on the promise of a life in paradise (in her eyes) and will further believe future promises.

In the right places, living "pura vida" is the adventure.

The above is my opinion only.

I agree Otis! The whole our a visa promise of life in Costa Rica on the beaches-he could easily have led her to believe that scenario and he cd carry that promise out for a limited while at least..

My thought all along has been that he has more than $4,500. I don't think he has tens of thousands, mind you. But if he had the calculated thinking to take out a loan on the equity in their vehicle, logic suggests he thought of another way or two to get money.

Did he pull any money out of a retirement account?

Did he take out one of those quick cash pay day loans knowing he would skip town?

Did he sell his wedding ring or some family heirloom?

Did he sell any other valuable possession--a four wheeler, moped, guitar etc.

Did he steal anything from family or friends to sell?

Did he ask any locals for loans citing some made up story?

I would not be surprised if he does have over $10,000 with him. I think it's highly likely he has been preparing for this for sometime. He could have been accumulating cash for months. Simply by making frequent trips to ATMs, and not spending the money.

So hunkered down vs. road tripping.

Hunkered down - he could have rented a cabin, AirBnB, or even a furnished apartment for a week, two weeks, or even a month. They could attempt to blend in and hide in plain sight. with the luxury of a place of their own could further disguise themselves - bleach/dye their hair, he can shave off his hair and goatee or go light brown/blond. (BTW, we have posted pics of her as a brunette, but none of him with lighter hair.)

Road trip - cheaper, but they'd need a tent, good sleeping bags, or a good heat source to be comfortable at night outside of the sun belt. The disadvantage is that they'd need to get gas more often, which is one more opportunity for them to be seen.

I don't know. There are advantages and disadvantages to each.

I still don't know how in the world he could have made all these plans without leaving info on the hard drive even if you delete it's never really deleted.

He must of had a personal laptop he was using to search and make all these secret plans. He probably has that laptop in his possession now.

HA! Exactly! You are right. A computer expert would have been able to mine data from any hard drive he used to search.

Well police know he searched teenage marriages and they know he searched for mattresses for the Rogue...so it's possible they know about other things he searched but haven't disclosed them.

The police are seemingly withholding a few details here and there, which they must believe is in the best interest of the investigation.

I was thinking that they could have checked his cell phone records to see if he'd called for reservations anywhere, but if he did it online, used a laptop, and took the laptop with him, he's in the clear.

It's not impossible, to be honest. Maybe he left a desktop at the house and sold or took a laptop with him.

Did he have a school issued laptop, for example? Did he turn it in?

Did he have a Kindle?

In my house, there are many devices and tablets that can access the Internet. Some are old and outdated but technically still work and wouldn't be missed if taken.

It's easy to securely erase a hard drive. Once you do that, it's gone.

Good point.

My guess is he did it on the internet on his smart phone and then took the phone with him.

Even when I am not trying to be sneaky, I look up most things on my phone these days. Just bc I have it right on hand.

All of the numbers you call or text on your phone can be retrieved from the carrier, but not the search history or content of the text messages.

He probably uses a burner phone.

Hmmm. Well I will add this to my ever-growing list of things I'd like to know/things I'd like to know if LE knows.

What electronic devices did TC own or have access to?
Desktop computer at work?
Desktop computer at home?
Work-issued laptop?
Personal laptop?
Cell phone with family plan?
Burner cell phone?
Other?

Just saw a commercial for tomorrow's Good Morning America- said TC's wife and daughter speak out.

ABC Nightly News just did another update here in the east with an exclusive with JC (can't discuss the note) and that he BP issues, pharmacies on the lookout. Not much new but keeping it out there.
