I brought this up a few threads ago, I really think they bought a boat but someone quickly said it wasn't a likely scenario. I grew up in a boating family so I assumed it wasn't logical not all people know how to drive a boat, but then I got some confidence back and searched craigslist huntsville/decatur specifically under "boats" and there are a ton of them. Any chance the last pings were the phones going into the water after they picked up the boat.
I saw a '87 Cudy Cabin for $6900 (a boat that has sleeping quarters). I know he only got $4500 from the car loan. But has anyone considered, he didn't necessarily have to "cash out" his retirement plan, in most states you may take a loan and have 60 days to repay it. I don't remember off hand which states need spousal support but don't think Tennessee is one. He could also take a distribution from his account, yes he would have to pay exorbitant taxes but if he doesn't plan on paying taxes anymore who cares.

Where do you think they would live on a boat?

He did not buy a boat! Where would he drive this boat and what is he to do when he finally arrives?

Geez, my husband has a boat, do you know how much gasoline for a boat is??

Not enough in total for $4,500 for everything. And where would it take him, what will he do when the boat breaks down or he runs out of gas?

He was suspended, he just wasn't fired yet.

He was suspended on February 6th (without pay). He had from at least February 6 until March 13th to figure out a plan (assuming he wanted to run the day he got suspended).

He was fired on March 14th, a day after he went missing.

Possible addition of a single new FOLLOWING on her Instagram account since March 17th.

Recall, "followers" are the number of people who are following that account. "Following" is the number of people the account is following.

http://archive.is/ERoug
Archived version time-stamped March 17, 2017 15:23 UTC is following 285 other accounts
Today, current IG account is following 286 other accounts.

Can anyone figure out the single new account that "appears" to have been added by someone with access to her account between 17th and 27th?

Or maybe I am mis-understanding something, and 285 vs 286 is nothing to note.. I dunno :-(

I'm not an IG expert, but if it's similar to FB, then I could send a REQUEST to follow someone and then need to wait for them to accept the request. So if on Day 1 I have 285, day 2 I send a request to follow but I still have 285, then 3 weeks later my # could change to 286 (as the number I'm following) because the person I requested to follow just approved said request. So that change may indicate nothing at all on ET's part (post disappearance).

The Boston bombers didn't buy one, but a boat sitting in a backyard made a good hiding spot...

Mon. Jan. 23, 2017 Cummins and Thomas were caught kissing

Tues., Jan. 24, 2017: Culleoka Unit School administration was notified by a student concerning an allegation of contact witnessed between Cummins and a student. The complaint stated, “It wasn’t like a make out kiss, just a peck on the lips.” Culleoka Unit School Administration gathered all information that day from the student who was said to have witnessed the alleged inappropriate contact.

Wed., Jan. 25, 2017: MCPS Chief of Staff, Dr. Amanda Hargrove, was contacted by Culleoka Unit School administration, and Dr. Hargrove immediately began an investigation.

Thurs., Jan. 26 – Mon., Jan. 30, 2017: As per Board policy 5.500 and 6.305, Dr. Hargrove and staff investigated the allegations by interviewing all pertinent parties, including students, staff and administration.

Fri., Jan. 27, 2017: The student named in the alleged concern was removed from Cummins’ class and schedule by Culleoka Unit School Administration.

Tues., Jan. 31, 2017: MCPS administration was notified by law enforcement that Cummins was the subject of a criminal investigation. MCPS turned over all known information and documentation to law enforcement about the recent allegations against Cummins at Culleoka Unit School, which were still under investigation by MCPS.

Tues. Jan. 31, 2017 Thomas' father was just now informed about the investigation and that the school found nothing to substantiate the claim.

Fri., Feb. 3, 2017: Late Friday afternoon, MCPS received an allegation that Cummins had been in contact with the same student, despite explicit directives from his supervisor not to interact.

Thomas was given in-school suspension for showing up in his classroom.

Mon., Feb. 6, 2017: At 8 a.m., Dr. Hargrove met with Cummins and suspended him from his duties at Culleoka Unit School.

March 13 - both Cummins and Thomas disappear together.

March 14 - Cummins’ final termination from MCPS was prompted by his allegedly fleeing the area on March 13, reported to MCPS by law enforcement. A termination document was finalized by MCPS.
Thanks. The cops could have talked to him recently about the investigation and be felt the need to go ahead and leave now.

Yes, but he might have been planning to abduct her before being suspended. We don't really know.

I'm not saying he bought one, but they could still be staying on one somewhere. It's still early in the season, most of the marinas probably aren't seeing too much traffic. If he knew anyone who owned a boat, he could be hiding out on it without them even knowing.

I highly doubt anyone (LE and the School) did ANY investigation. It wasn't until they fled and the FBI got involved did we find out that they were sending love notes back and forth via the SCHOOL'S email system.

Again, the school didn't terminate him on the 14th because of the sexual encounter (kiss) in January. They terminated him based on the AMBER ALERT.

Thank you. I was just about to mention this. They are not on a boat with any kind of motor. And I'll venture to guess they are not on a row boat, either.

Also, I'll pay each of you if he's getting help from someone.

I doubt his wife was off, she works in administration and may actually have a year around job. In fact, this may be why she was suspicious of him sooner than ET's family. Maybe his wife knew it was the perfect opportunity for him to meet ET, since she was working and kids were out of school.

Does the Nissan Rogue have OnStar? I've not seen anyone mention this but if so, (unless he somehow was able to disable it) is OnStar able to trace the vehicle - like they do in their commercials?

Also around the lake, you could easily find a small camper you can drive, for a good price.

I would think the car would have likely been found if ditched. You have to have a title to sell a car here. Not sure how it is in TN now, but used to be stolen cars were taken to TN to register because a title wasn't required.

No, Nissan has their own version.

Of course, the reason to ask relates to the ability to track the car.

If that were the case, at least the car would have been located by now.

The above is my opinion only.
