Police: Missing person alert issued for Dickson woman

The Dickson Police Department issued a missing person alert on Sunday afternoon.

Melanie Vineyard has not been seen since Tuesday morning when she was leaving her residence in the City of Dickson area.

Vineyard was seen driving a black 2008 Chevy Equinox with chrome wheels and tinted windows.

Her direction of travel is unknown.

Vineyard was wearing a grey t-shirt, black jogging pants and Nike flip flops when she went missing.

I didn't see any red flags on her FB.

A google search of her name yielded some info on a site whose name I won't mention. Info may or may not be r/t her disappearance.

Maybe, if she was going to show a house alone.

We've seen cases of realtors being murdered...I didn't see anything r/t her being in real estate, though, did you find something?

I saw a reference to a medical issue on a site that shall here remain nameless on account of we're not allowed to mention it here.

Vineyard, who was last seen wearing a grey T-shirt, black jogging pants and Nike flip flops, was traveling in an unknown direction, according to police.

Agreed. So far, I come up with some kind of accident but it's nagging at me that her direction of travel is unknown. I'm not sure they would have said that if she was headed to work, so...where was she going? MOO

And if they know she was leaving in her car, then more than likely she had her purse, or at the very least her phone. Her phone, while on, should ping nearby towers. So at the very least, they should know which direction she was going.

I read the page referred to, and that Melanie has a wife, so definitely not the Melanie on this thread, as the Melanie that is missing has a husband.

I don't think she was going to show a house given how casually she was dressed. My daughter owns a realty company and would never consider showing a client a home wearing jogging pants and flip flops. Most of her agents go for business casual, or a suit if it's commercial real estate.

We are 10 days out and so little information, not even where she was going, when she was expected back, if she missed any appointments or if there were any significant events recently. Nothing really stands out.
