I cant post link to conspiracy site but another set of search dogs from florida set to arrive there to help look for this boy soon according to his aunt who is posting there and an uncle from California also coming to help search. Just sayin.

As far as how far can a 2 yr old move, that all depends on the 2 yr old. My eldest grand daughter was steadfast and surefooted at that age and could have walked miles, her younger sister at same age not as athletic and agile but still could probably cover quite a bit of ground especially in two days time.

(I haven't seen any mention of drones, maybe I missed it, but I just remembered something, standby, looking for it, post in progress, could be helpful)

Eta: check this out:

Lafayette company gets FAA approval to fly drone prototype for search and rescue missions
http://www.thedenverchannel.com/new...rone-prototype-for-search-and-rescue-missions

"Reference Technologies started developing a rescue drone after the Boulder County Sheriff's Office expressed a need to the company's founder, Allen Bishop. Bishop said most drones are battery powered, which limits the time they can stay in the air. The company's drone, the "Hummingbird," theoretically can spend up to six hours in the air and fly 300 miles roundtrip."

Snip

"Bishop said the drone can carry four different types of cameras, including infrared, and a maximum payload of 20 pounds which could be detached to help victims of snake bites, falls or other accidents in remote areas."

After rereading about this, it seems it's geared more towards stranded hikers, etc, but maybe it could somehow help the searchers out there in that tough terrain and provide some better camera angles and drone longevity?

Native wildlife in that area includes wild boars, coywolves, bobcats, coyotes, even a few eagles.
There are eagles with nest-cams in nearby Jackson Tn which is Madison County, which adjoins Chester County.
There have been so many hunters in the woods in the past weeks.
Gosh I hope they have considered someone taking this beautiful little soul.
Presence of Troopers on all area roads and 45 bypass and even I40.
Every eye is looking for you Noah!

Just trying to think of some other possibilities...any chance he was kidnapped for ransom, and perhaps no contact has been made due to all the heat? Or maybe some crazy woman/person who wants a kid, as mentioned upstream. Or someone seeking revenge against the family. No custody issues that I've read...

I wonder if the grandma can recall seeing anyone else out there on the trail?

What about search drones?

I think child predators are most likely to abduct in a crowded area, hidden in plain sight. Shopping centres, city streets, that kind of place. Seems the isolated, quiet winter woods would be the riskiest place to attempt that kind of crime unless it was in a camping ground.

I was wondering about his age as well. My granddaughter is turning two next week.
If she wandered off, when she noticed she was alone, I can see her little lower lip quivering and her whimpering, but I'm not sure if she'd start screaming.

Your comment about an older two year old playing a game and hiding struck a chord with me. I grew up in the Napa Valley where mustard flowers grow about 2 feet tall in the spring. When I was about two and a half, I remember squatting next to the house, hidden amongst the flower, while my mother called for me. I don't know exactly what my thinking was but I remember knowing that I should answer my mother. My mother screamed for a neighbor and I remember hearing "ditch." There was a ditch across the lane. There happened to be a telephone lineman up a nearby pole who spotted me and ratted me out. Our house was next to railroad tracks and just over the tracks was a busy highway. I likely wouldn't have wandered far enough to get lost, bu if it weren't for that lineman, I might have possibly ended up on the railroad tracks or on the highway.

Praying that today is the day Noah will be found.

I also grew up in an area of rural IL that is very similar to where Noah is lost. I can remember wandering at around age 3, and though the barns, equipment, animals, creeks and ponds fascinated me could always find my way home. However, one time, it was colder than usual and I crawled inside the doghouse that was out by the barn (with the dog), huddled under the straw and fell asleep. My poor father finally found me, but not until searching for a couple of hours. 65+ years later I still like to find the nooks and crannies while camping or playing with the grandkids. I hope someone is rechecking the outbuildings and any "hidey hole" type structures in the area. If Noah sought shelter during the rain, and fell asleep, he may still be safe but too afraid to come out. Also, there was a mention of some logging in the area and my son used to love to burrow under the wood chips and climb around the logs. More prayers for the safety of this little angel.

I hate wild boars, but maybe with all the people searching this will keep wildlife to a minimum. They need to have a search crew at ground zero again and panning out and another crew at 5 miles out and coming inward JMO

Sorry for my ignorance but are Eagles a threat to children and small animals??

No, there was a video on YT showing an eagle snatching up a child but it was later said by the creators it was just a hoax. I could see an Eagle snatching a tiny kitten maybe. Not a grown pet or baby.

I believe an eagle can wound or attack a child but could never lift over 4 or five pounds.
My family lives near Pinson TN and there are eagles in their small "lake".
Even hawks and owls attack people at times.
I would worry alot more about boars. And we know Noah has been out there at night, even though it was daylight when he disappeared.
So let's hope and pray he is somewhere warm and safe.
It's horrible to think that some stranger who wanted a child picking him up might be the best scenario available right now.

Or a crime of opportunity. Little boy runs alone through the woods, perp happens to see him ...

Pretty unlikely I guess but not impossible.

How would a drone search in the woods? Can it fly through the trees or would go above them?

  • #352
Let's have all the trail cams in that area searched now. I'm sure it's been/is being done. They usually have night-vision capability.
And they are usually in very remote areas for the use of hunters.
I know some of the searchers casually through family members of mine and these people are determined and so good-hearted. Bless them.

About to post one more update. I don't have a lot more info right but search crews are still being sent out in limited numbers to #FindNoah

In limited numbers bc it's getting dark I guess?

Been reading the thread and my first guess would be to search the lake/pond nearby.. From what I've read coyotes are plentiful and cougars have been spotted in this area of TN. Due to the time of day that he vanished, fortunately wildlife/predators; coyotes, coy dogs, cougars, etc., are normally nocturnal or early morning and late evening hunters. Coyotes regularly prey upon small dogs, farm animals, and other pets for food. Coyotes; predators by their nature are exploiters of opportunity. However, if a predator perceives an advantage, they will exploit it.

I'm from Pickwick, TN and helped out in the Easter 2011 weekend search for Holly Bobo. Both locations are about 60 miles away. I would assume the terrain and trees in this area of TN are very similar. The photos of the area being searched from the #FIND NOAH twitter should be synonymous to the area where he vanished, imo.

I hate to even write this. Ugh. Sorry to be graphic but animals shake their prey. Surely there would be something left behind if an animal attacked him...clothes, a shoe, body parts. I don't think an animal got him. There are so many people searching for him and no signs of a struggle yet...no clothing..no blood. Seems unlikely to me. Just my opinion. I'm thinking he fell in one of those sinkholes. It would explain how he was there...and then he wasn't. Maybe he didn't have time to scream or cry, it happened sudden and took his breath away. Praying so hard they find him alive. :( They said the ponds and creeks were clear of him. That's a plus.

I guess since the community is so sincerely involved that we'd know this by now...but what about those deer cams hunters hang on trees? Does anyone in the area have one anywhere near these woods? Maybe that'd yield some photos? Aren't they motion set? I don't hunt so forgive my ignorance regarding this. Just a thought...:blushing:

(I really really really thought they would have found him yesterday with all those resources and manpower allocated. I was so wrong. If they never find him, the family not ever knowing...)

Ok, I just had another idea, do you guys ever watch "Border Wars"? Those guys, the Border Patrol Agents, have some amaaaazing tracking skills. They can tell every leaf that has been disturbed, really superb skills...I know they so have so many searchers already there, and getting the process going of sending some of those agents up there (as with the timely process of trying to get this special "Hummingbird" drone that I just posted about) might be challenging...not to mention the area is now already disturbed due to the searchers...as I said before, such a catch 22 with that..

Man. This sucks.
