Someone has probably posted this already, but I'm scanning through pages pretty quickly here and may have missed it. As of a few hours ago, they had suspended the civilian volunteer search because now 6 of the volunteers are missing, too. Saw this on the WIS TV 10 Facebook page.

They are okay, they didn't sign out properly or something.

One local fellow involved in the search (because he has little ones) said they tried "paths of least resistance" because it is such difficult terrain and lots of thorn vines. He said he couldn't imagine his little one taking the more difficult trail.

A lot of people earlier in the thread were talking about how children don't shed as many skin cells. Also, people are so clean these days. So it's hard for dogs to pick up on scents at all sometimes. So that, in and of itself, doesn't really say much to me.

Looks like that has all changed now (or WIS TV 10 had it wrong), as the sheriff was asking for more volunteers at the presser.

I believe LE said the 6 searchers ended up being in another group and just forgot to sign out. It turns out they weren't missing. Hope this helps.

Interesting that the sheriff himself did the conference instead of Mr. Mapes (spokesperson) yet wouldn't answer the questions reporters left for him this morning. I get that he's probably exhausted and frustrated but it's unnerving. Tired or is something up?

I doubt that the reason sar dogs cannot track a scent would be that Noah didn't go in the woods-- otherwise le would've been all over the grandma ; and they (le) are by nature of their jobs a thousand times more suspicious than we are.
LE has stated the family is cooperating.
Be wonderful if he is being taken care of by someone.
