I "think" not sure, lol, she had a station manager from radio maybe and he reported that....I assumed he had either heard it or talked to someone who had heard it...can't remember his stations call letters.

I didn't watch, but Keith Sherley, News Director from WNWS (101.5) said he was going to be on her show tonight. He has spent many hours down in Pinson since Thursday.

I have been wondering if the GM and Noah's parents' houses/cars have been monitored with detection devices?

Would that be standard OP in a case like this?

Also wonder if family are fervent church goers and well regarded amongst their peers etc thus perceived as pillars of society thus deemed incapable of committing/ being involved in anything as hineous as what many may be thinking.

But a reputable reporter would check facts before airing them. And I wouldn't expect them to report from SM. I just found that odd.

"reputable reporter" and mention of NG's name almost never belong in the same sentence. Unless of course one is attempting to make a point as to how she isn't one. It is however not at all odd that she'd run with SM as fact - or at the very least - allow her audience to assume it's got some credibility. She's well known for this, unfortunately.

I believe NG said 105.1, but I could be wrong.

The thoughts & opinions stated above are that, MY random thoughts & opinions.

NG comes on again at 2 am. I'll have to watch it. I missed the earlier one.

you are right about that, there was a lovely young singer last name Mitchell who was killed by a pack of coyotes, they may have been a hybrid and it was up north maybe Canada sorry I dont recall the details but yes wild animals would be a concern of mine and this sinkhole news is not setting well with me, have there been any reports of a sinkhole in that area where they were hiking ? Certainly if there was a new hole there would be evidence of that? Praying for that little tike!

This was so very sad. A lot of information related to coyote behaviour.

I hate when people assume that if someone is a christian, it means they'd never harm another person. (Not saying anyone in this family harmed Noah...just speaking generally.) Just a pet peeve of mine, I guess.

Ditto. Drives me nuts.

Hi y'all! I'm new here. I'm in Northwest Georgia, just 5 miles or so across the state line from Chattanooga, TN.

Coyotes crossed my mind as well. They seem to be becoming more common here, even in residential areas. I live in a subdivision, with a neighboring subdivision just 1/4 mile or so down the road. There's a pack of coyotes that "hang out" in the wooded area between the two subdivisions. You can hear them at night, howling and carrying on. The back of our house is only about 12' from the woods, and being on a night shift schedule, my husband and I often buy groceries (etc.) in the wee hours of the morning. A few weeks ago, as we were getting into the truck, the coyotes were literally a few feet from the driveway, just inside the tree line. When we heard them, we quickly got in the truck and closed the doors. Very scary. We never caught sight of them because of the underbrush, but they were RIGHT THERE. Our driveway is well-lit, with a motion sensor floodlight, and it apparently didn't frighten them at all. I noticed this weekend that our neighbors have installed a number of bright lights around their back yard. They have small dogs that they let out to potty several times during the day and night, so I wonder if they're hoping the lights will deter the coyotes. From what we've seen, they're fearless.

I wonder if the searchers have re-checked the ponds and streams. What if Noah happened along after the water was checked, and (heaven forbid) fell in?

So many unanswered questions. Trying to remain hopeful that this has a happy ending. :please:

Coyotes usually leave a big mess behind them and they make a whole lot of noise. We have a zillion coyotes surrounding us here and I see them nightly. I don't think Coyotes could have done this.

Also, he went missing about noon. Coyotes are not usually pout hunting then.

Not assuming anything about this family at all - but just as a general comment - as a Christian myself I will agree with this statement. TONS of people claim Christianity as their faith (oh hi Donald Trump, how are you?) and wouldn't know the first thing about genuine Christian doctrine/theology/living if it jumped up and bit them in the booty. Sometimes I wish it would. Repeatedly.

But, as my friend in Nashville once pointed out, EVERYONE in the south is a Christian, even if they're not. Meaning, most (or many) claim it, because it's sort of tradition/expected. And yes, for those of us who are genuine Christians, it's kind of a pet peeve of ours as well. It's misleading at best, and intentionally deceitful and disingenuous at the worst.

moo.

Long time lurker; first time poster. I have a few questions/thoughts that I hope someone doesn't think I'm obsessively intrusive for having. Is Noah smart for his age? If so, regardless of using the designated trail could he have sprinted off in the correct direction and made it to the house for his action figure, sippy cup, jacket? At the house could he have decided to be a big boy and walk to see grandpa at work, find mommy at the store or cross the road to see puppies all by himself just knowing that he could do it? If so, there may be ditches that can't be climbed out of, weeds that are too tall or other trees to be lost in. There might be a junker car with a door that won't shut all the way that he decides to drive and then can't wiggle out of. There are several possibilities outside the woods behind his house where he could be. I worry that his only search area is there.
I pray the new search team sees it through different eyes.
I've used up enough space. Thank you for your time.

I don't want to go down that rabbit hole again! We went through several sets of threads with the debate of cougar vs child on DeOrr Kunz Jr.'s case. The new PI firm conclusively resolved the issue stating it was NOT an animal attack (after the sheriff plainly stated it many, many times). Yes, there are mountain lions. No, they could not eat a child and not leave signs of being in the area.

SeriouslySearching, I didn't interpret the new PI firm's explanation as conclusively resolving the issue of a cougar attack in the DeOrr Kunz Jr.'s case. Once there is an arrest and indictment of a suspect, then I will be convinced..

This is exactly why we can discount a cougar attack. Even though a victim may not be able to call for help, the attack itself is loud. A cougar would have a difficult time carrying 30 pounds in their mouth, would be spooked by the grandmother yelling for Noah, would leave behind evidence of dragging, articles of clothing and a diaper, and a lot of blood.

Darring21, cougars are stealth predators that can reach speeds of 55 mph and lunge up to forty feet during an attack on their prey..
Large farm animals have become victims of these very powerful cats. A small child weighing 30 pounds would be no problem for them.. Once the attack is made cougars will carry their prey up to a half mile away to their secluded safe haven for devouring. The clothing would likely be found at this location..

10 Things You Didn’t Know About Cougars

Animal predation is extremely rare in reality. It makes for great TV but just does not happen that much in real life.

When we get this many days in it is natural to start grabbing onto anything in an effort to explain. I'm afraid the most likely scenario is that he wandered deeper than thought, quite possibly signing and zagging and crawling into places that adults wouldn't think possible and had simply been missed. It happens far too often. And it is very true that all your normal lost person behavior training goes out the window when searching for a toddler.

Sarx, I honor and respect your opinion and agree that animal predation of humans is extremely rare. But, imo due to the many indicators pointing to animal predation, and specifically a cougar attack in Noah's mysterious disappearance. It can't and should not be ruled out as a feasible possibility. In reality, it can and does happen, with small children being their preferred unsuspecting victim, making them the most vulnerable....
