GUILTY TN - SLP, 14, found alive, Madisonville, Monroe County, 13 Jan 2019 #6 *ARRESTS*

No SA charges? Leave those to the state? Perplexed why nothing for transporting SP across state lines? That I thought was a slam dunk. Were these presented to the Grand Jury and they declined to charge or were the issues not presented to the Grand Jury?

Lying to FBI was a given.

Well riddle me this- KK is going to get away with a lot because she turned on PF and gave information about things she partook in to help kill Kelsey.

While I wish BR had done things differently, he got SP out of that miserable existence and helped her, has his name splashed all over the place in the news, social media, meanwhile, Mr. Randall Pruitt, the actual offender- nary a word in the press about him since his arrest and there's a gag order going on in his case.

Again, not condoning how BR handled this, but let's face it, without that video and him coming to get her and help her mail her letter and video to the FBI, she would probably be shot dead and skinned like her dog by her step father, or she may have killed herself.

It's so sad she had no one else that she could trust in her own world to help her. I think she knew that no matter who she told, even a friend, eventually she would have been forced back home with that monster. At least BR got her out of that situation, right or wrong.

Still waiting for the sexual assault charges on BR.

I so agree with just about every post you make I want you to know. And i agree with this one. While we cannot know all of the facts until later, if ever, I agree on the speculation. Her DADDY from young age molested her (not meaning bio but RJP) but WI guy is the focus. Where the he** is the news on DADDY?

In KB now we have the focus on KK? Where is the focus on PF??? I seriously do not know in that case who is SICKER.

In this case, I go back to degrees. I too wish BR had done things differently. But maybe they are finding out the intents on both sides and she is older in some ways than the rest of us maybe were. I still am surprised by evil and people manipulating. This 14 year old may have not been, look at what she has dealt with. I also think they have to charge him, one cannot just have a vigilante/vigilante justice running a minor across state lines. So they have to charge it, and let a jury decide?

This is so amazing to me- no gag order on BDR's case, but a gag order on Mr. Randall Pruitt's case. Why?
Could it possibly be because they are federal charges in another state (not her home town) and RP's are state SA charges in her home town? Just speculating here.

I so very much agree.

KK on the other hand in the KB case bothers me to no end. Yet it in no way takes away from how sick PF was. Co-conspirators if you ask me.

Here, I am able to take a wait and see. SP is alive.

Regardless, she is safe and alive. That I know that everyone here is on the same page with.

Odd isn't it? Mr. Randall Pruitt deserves protection??? Who is he? I mean his d**k is in a video. With his morning cup of coffee. On that note, I am going to tone down. Sorry...

I don't know the "why?" but where I come from we don't "look a gift horse in the mouth"... you know what I mean? LOL

Oh absolutely! She would have been dead very soon in the future. And at whose hands we might never have known. Quite scary IMO.

Okay then Chili Your peppers are showing

Sometimes you’re so serious, and oftentimes you crack me up. Just saying.

For now, with that gag order in place, we have no idea what details have been discovered/discussed/investigated. And we have no idea about the impact these details will have on all of our perceptions. We also have no idea what all will be revealed.

Question for the legal minds, @gitana1 ,if I may: If LE/FBI make some kind of deal with RP, would that Gag order remain forever in place?

The focus is on WI basement boy here. Her daddy from her age of a toddler probably never gave her a chance at a normal understand or chance in life. Yet no focus on him these days. Why is that? Just a trucker right...

Could it be to protect SP? Too little, too late, but maybe better than nothing.

No. Gag orders are only to protect the upcoming trial. After trial/plea all bets are off.

Judge issues gag order in case of missing teen; Father's bond set at $2M
This article indicates that his case is going to the grand jury ( no date given) and then if he is indicted he has his next court date on May 13th. Just like occurred with BDR, I think. Would the gag order stop at that court date or continue through to the trial when the date is set?

The focus has been on him because a majority of people saw him as a hero. Whereas RP's conduct was clearly criminal to them, this other dude's was not. There was a huge amount of debate about his behavior and his arrest. Many could not be convinced that a 31 year old who struck up a relationship online with a 14 year old child, coerced her into filming and sending him evidence of her rape, and then went and got her and secreted her in his basement, could actually be a bad guy.

The charges were controversial. They may still be for some, despite discussion of his apparent sexual abuse of her, because it's hard to shift one's opinions. Especially when we've had to defend them.

RP is a sure thing. There's consensus.

It's that simple.

Speaking of a horse.... on the farm... I wonder who might be taking care of her animal friends?

I hope they weren't used by RP as more of a 'make her stay on the farm' kind of thing. If he was cruel enough to skin a dog, he is capable of anything.

I hope she can find peace in whatever she chooses to do about them. So many choices to make, so much loving guidance required.

My gut reaction is to think it’s because the gag order in the one case had zero to do with protecting the victim - otherwise this would be in place in the second case as well. This aligns with my general feelings about how this case is being prosecuted.

Why do you think that transporting a minor over state lines for sexual purposes wasn't part of the indictment?

Or possibly, just possibly, the evidence that there was recent sexual activity that could not have been with the father, as quoted by the prosecutor, is not quite so certain. I truly wonder if she opened her mouth too soon, jumped the gun, in an effort to at least prosecute him in the eyes of the public.

Not saying he didn’t do it, but it sure makes me wonder. I don’t like the way this case has been handled at all.

Why do you think that transporting a minor over state lines for sexual purposes wasn't part of the indictment?

They may not have enough probable cause for intent. And intent is a crucial element of the charge.

In fact, although to me he is and was clearly a predatory person, he may have had to convince himself every step of the way that he was actually "helping" her. So he may not have actually had the fully formed intent to transport her for sexual purposes.

But once there, he couldn't resist his predatory urges.

In that case, if he didn't transport her from the beginning with the clear intent to assault her, then the charge falls apart.

They stuck him with the charge they could prove and convict him of.

What are your thoughts on any more charges for BR? This can't be all of it, right? IMO he was as bad as, and could have been worse than, RP. He could have kept her in that basement lair if not for digital evidence. For God knows how long....

ETA: Thank you for taking time to answer our questions.
Thanks to all who provide so much input. IMO y'all rock :)

Yep. The KB thing really got to me. Serenity really gets to me. This case really gets to me. Stalking REALLY gets to me like how JPs letter seems
