Well that just sucks. There goes my hero theory. Damn, I was hoping just for once, that someone decent was really trying to help this poor girl. Ah well, at least he got her away from RP and CP.
I too was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt before jumping to conclusions.

There could be a correlation, I don't know. What I don't understand is why he's not charged with rape. ?
MOO
Yet- right now he’s in federal custody I believe rape would be local jurisdiction And am not sure what constitutes a federal rape charge ? JMO

I think he will be once it goes to the grand jury.

That's a wrap. There were three monsters in this poor girl's life. She had no where to turn for help.

Heartbreaking.
Yes and IIRC you were the very first to question him and caution that he may not be a hero ugh

Judge finds probable cause in case of Madison man accused of child exploitation
Authorities say there’s evidence a Madison man who brought a missing 14-year-old Tennesee girl to Madison, may have sexually assaulted her.

Rogers sat quietly in court in jail clothes as Assistant U.S. Attorney Julie Pfluger conceded he may have initially had pure motives of helping the girl get away from danger. But Pfluger says Rogers lied to the FBI about the girl’s whereabouts and kept her in a closet of his mother’s Madison basement or in the trunk of his car.

Pfluger also says medical testing on the girl found injuries related to sexual activity not involving her father. The prosecutor says Rogers may also be charged with transporting the girl across state lines for sex.

A federal magistrate ruled there is probable cause to believe Rogers produced child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 and decided the 31-year-old Madison man remain jailed.

Tuesday’s court appearance was attended by Rogers’ mother and other loved ones.

Bednarek says Rogers has no criminal history and is a recent college graduate with two jobs. Authorities say Rogers’s mother was unaware of the teen’s presence in her home over the two weeks she stayed there, until investigators found her and Rogers was arrested.

Yes, and then I was right there questioning his degree of guilt after no additional charges of SA were filed, and LE said SLP was fine and in good spirits after being removed from BR's home. I was wrong.

It just gets worse the more that is reported.

I know that BR just started a new job. His mother works days. Did BR allow SP run of the house while his mother was gone to work? Was he home for most of this time and his job had later hours?
He was home when LE first knocked on his door Jan. 31st. I don't believe his mother was, but at work. Later, when they came to the door his mother answered and he was ultimately arrested at his place of employment.

I think that’s how the law is set up. Innocent until proven guilty. IMO

Yes it is. When it comes to the legal system and how the jury and judges must approach the case.

This argument comes up repeatedly in multiple cases when people believe the accused is innocent - Casey Anthony, Ross Harris, Chris Watts, Terri Horman and on and on and on. But that principle applies to the legal system.

What I like the most about the threads on Websleuths is that we can listen to what each other is saying, respectfully.

You state in your post (above) that you"feel that he groomed her." And that's your valid feeling. Just as each of us share our opinions. Valid as well, of course.

I don't care to make an opinion or share a feeling until we hear the case as we have little factual information/evidence to go on.

The reason I come to Websleuths is because of the rules here. Posters don't argue or ridicule others' opinions or feelings. Websleuths is a respect-based community.

My interest is in the legal arguments and this case, which, I believe, may set a legal precedent. It's the legal aspect of this case that truly intrigues me.

Please let me know if you feel I am ridiculing other people's feelings. Or report. I try not to do that. Debate and discussion are what we do here.

BBM. I chose like several others to believe that there was no SA from BDR until evidence was presented in court today that he did assault her. We are all entitled to our opinions and should not be put in a box just because we don’t agree with another opinion. That’s what makes websleuths such a wonderful forum for all of us.

Perhaps they have so much more at the federal level they don’t need to try that charge ?
I hope not. Take no chances.

I thought that Roger's sexually assaulted SP, but decided to wait, until reports were clear.
Now that this is being suspected, I feel that poor SP's thoughts, at the time, may have been shattered.
This man did not have her interests in rescuing her, to provide a safe passage towards LE.
He benefited now, that SP was at his home.
I hope, his computer records, SP's examinations and interviews, provide justice for this poor girl.
What a life, amongst these creeps.
She has a long journey ahead of her, and with professional help, and contact with other survivors, her life will surely improve.
MOO.

He is a clever one but the perverts do have an equivalent of a Phd in this.

I am sure he did a ton of research on ways to manipulate her.
.....and others.
I think we'll be hearing more of his naughty little games. moo

This was a bad one - hard to tell for sure but for me making her do the video was all I needed - I figured it was a matter of time
