No matter what, he will ALWAYS be her hero.
Perhaps, but as previously posted -- I hope that when the time is right someone sits down with her and explains that he wasn't the night in shining armor she may or may not perceive him as to prevent the cycle of victimization for her. MOO
I think IMO perhaps whoever she is safe with, may have already done this. Stating that he will always be her hero without adding - IMO - is not true - this is not a fact. At this point, no one has any idea how she is feeling about anything JMO. to state otherwise is a bit insulting to her IMO

Madison man charged with production of child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 in missing Tennessee girl case

"After 40 min, a federal judge ruled there is probable cause to charge Bryan Rogers w/production of child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. He also ruled Rogers will remain detained until trial because he believes Rogers is a flight risk."

"Rogers is accused of persuading a 14-year-old Tennessee girl to record a rape and send the video to him. Court records said after he saw the video, he didn't report it to police, and instead brought the girl to Wisconsin, taking steps to avoid being tracked.

The defense argued Rogers only suggested she make a recording for evidence, and that came after he suggested other ways for her to get out. "

Well, that is reassuring. Thank you for finding and posting this. Whew!

He had her written communications. That's evidence. They'd remove her based on that.

Or one could repeatedly urge a desperate and terrified child to record herself being raped and send it to him, even though she's begging for help without having to do that.

And then drive hundreds of miles and take the kid not to LE but hidden in your home after smashing her cell phones. Despite having the evidence he claimed he needed so he wouldn't get in trouble.

None of this makes sense. If it was good enough for him feel he could go get her without getting in trouble, it was good enough to take her straight to the police with. If it wasn't, and he was so scared of his own legal risk, why would he take her anyhow?

One call. He's 31. He had written evidence. One call. He knew better.
BBM
That, along with a rape kit, would provide DNA proof of that evidence. I realize there is a back log of rape kit findings, but we are talking about a MINOR being raped by her "father". I doubt they would send her back into that environment without having the results of a test.

Yes, that's my question. Why did it take till February 1st? That seems a long time for a child missing to not have reviewed and found that information out as an attachment in an email.

Are we 1000% certain it was emailed? Originally the news reported that there were encrypted messages. Could that have been why it look so long to find?

@gitana1 Thought you would want to know - your insight has been very helpful. Thank you for taking the time to help us understand the law, the crimes, and your concern always for the child victim. IMO

It would likely be in the complaint which I cannot go back and look at. Once was more than enough for me...IMO

This little girl has been used and abused by people she loved and trusted. I can only begin to imagine the emotional journey she will be on for years to come. I hope she finds amazing people of love, light, and empowerment in her corner who help her safely navigate her feelings and healing. MOO

Thank you. I thought the defense would prevail on bail though!

I disagree. Its entirely possible, with therapy and age, SP will see him as someone who had a part of her escape. sure. But his actions after 'rescuing' her are questionable at best. I pray that one day SP sees herself as the hero in her story.

Perhaps they discovered assets he could have used to flee ? I think there is more to come regarding evidence IMO

Did I miss an update from today's hearing?

I can only hope and pray that whoever talks to SP about BDR's role in all this is very, very careful. Because what I am hearing is the ONLY person who who took any measures to help her is a very bad person. If she hears this too, she is left with nothing to believe in.

Maybe. Or maybe it's the fact that he traveled interstate to get a child, drive to another state where he smashed and destroyed her means of communication, knew how to use encrypted computer technology, and the nature of the crimes.

I guess the standard is no bail if the crime is classified as "violent" which this is.

I understood and thought the defense argument that this crime was not close to violent was a good one (even though that's the technical application) and given he had no criminal history, claimed to have altruistic motives and (hopefully) didn't harm her, he might have a good chance of bail.

I guess the Feds are strict. And/or the judge was as impressed by the "altruism" argument as I am. He or she read the communications. They know child exploitation well.

Jim_M posted it on this page. No bail, judge thinks he's a flight risk.

Yes and ruling he is a flight risk says a lot IMO
