Well, we could choose to believe that DW isn't accurate as another possibility.

I think he was sure about seeing the boys and the neighbor down by the creek when he first arrived. He's emphasized many times that it was when he first spotted them there that he knew that Summer was gone.

They may also be in therapy so they can talk to someone they trust in a safe environment. They also have social workers and possibly counselors at school they can speak to.

Speaking of school, did we ever find out why the school was evacuated the other day and if anybody was hurt?

It was hoax. There was 1 student taken to the hospital but it was unrelated.

I wonder where they got her height measurement? My granddaughter turned 5-yo in February. In June, she had her physical for entering Kindergarten and she is 42 inches tall.

Yeah, cacti in even tiny pots don't really ever have to be transplanted. They are grown that way on purpose and have tiny, shallow root systems. DutchTreat I hadn't really thought of the transplanting. So if they were cacti, there was absolutely no rush whatsoever to get them into the ground.
If they were plants, ie wildflowers, taken from the ground, they would never be transplanted in the heat of a summer day. It would kill the leaves right away. Better to stick them in water, roots and all, and transplant after the sun goes down, and shade them for a week or more.

The whole transplanting story is very curious. IMO

I don't believe the flower planting took place that day nor do I believe the rest of Candus' story. She's too detailed in her description.

Even if her brothers saw/know something about her disappearance, they may not tell anyone. It could be due to many different factors (ie: they have been instructed not to say anything by their parents, don't want to get their family in trouble, or feel guilty about not protecting their little sister). Obviously this is all speculation and I have no idea what the situation is.
IME, even when children are removed from abusive or neglectful homes, some may still be protective of their parents and deny that any abuse occurred.

I am certain of one thing. The individuals in the circle are odd to start. Several distrust LE. Rural eastern TN has had children abducted in recent years. One victim was located around 2016. I don't see a stranger abduction in this case. I also don't see a murder. Everything is possible. I was surprised A has not appeared to put aside past issues with C to supporther in looking for Summer unless she has. It was interesting H had a theory of a dry drowning which I don't think he thought of on his own. I would do anything to help a missing child no matter how I felt about the parents. I don't get bashing even horrible parents until the child is found. Also need to keep in mind there are times the truth is stranger than fiction.

I think it's the following:

They are not necessarily likeable people.

They have a different lifestyle. Let's face it, the majority of us on this site do not live like they do.

It's easy to pass judgment. Look at the "mom shaming" on SM that goes on all the time.

Definitely agree with you. I think it's all part of that 2 hour timeline where there are no other witness's besides family.

Hi everyone. I’ve been a member for at least ten years but this is my first post. Spent the last 9 days reading every post to try and find something… anything that made sense and I’m no better off on having any idea what happened to sweet Summer than when I started. I’m here now.

Yes, even when children are abused they still tend to be protective of their parents. But I think talking to a professional may help to get more details about what happened that day. A good therapist or caseworker can usually tell if a child is hiding something or not being truthful. They can also tell when a child has been coached.

Maybe investigators will question them again at some point. It's been almost two months and they may have remembered more since then.

I would like to know if they actually watched Summer go down stairs to the basement or if they were paying attention to the TV and just thought she went down there.

IMO it’s a little off-base to say they’re “unlikeable.” People seemed to be on CW’s side after her interview, everyone seems very compassionate towards Summer and her brothers. Some people probably just don’t want to engage/promote/empathize with DW after his admitted incest (per the phone convo with CM). That doesn’t mean anyone cares any less about Summer’s well-being and IMO it’s not “judging” him since it’s not a subjective determination. He said it. We don’t have to support him and we can all still be very much in Summer’s corner. These interviews have been voluntary and DW, in particular, continues to volunteer for interviews. For me, all we have to go by are the words he puts out for public consumption.

We have also witnessed indiscrepancies with timelines and other statements that have been voluntarily put out by the family. If those indiscrepancies can help steer anyone towards how or where to find Summer, that seems pretty relevant. Truth and lies and the difference between the 2 seem pretty important when it comes to finding Summer. As many have discussed over in the Morphew case, many criminal cases hinge on circumstantial evidence and it seems like people are trying to sift through to figure out what is evidence and what is not true. Those things seem pretty important for Summer.

I don’t have much to say at this point, likely until new information comes out or an arrest, but I don’t doubt anyone’s compassion for Summer or that everyone is speaking out of concern and wanting the best for the children in their lives and wanting to do whatever is possible to find Summer.
