I do recall when Candus was interviewed by the lake, Dave from Equusearch, in another interview, said he was there searching at the time of that interview. I remember because he made a point that Candus didn't speak to him.

Well that should have been a HUGE red flag. Usually when someone who is chatty suddenly shuts down when you are searching a particular area, it's not only a SAR red flag but also an LE red flag to take a really good look around and bring in necessary technology to ensure nothing is missed. If SW is not there, some evidence most likely was. We always assigned a professional to stay with family members as a liaison between family and LE, however their primary job was to listen to everything family members said, their facial expressions and body language. It's a critical assignment and often develops important information. I would refocus a search of the swimming area and also the "Holler" as somehow that location is bugging me.

Maybe, but I'll put it into a bit more context.

CM was interviewing Candus by the hole, who was visibly upset, as seen in the interview. Even CM said she wasn't in the right state of mind to talk to Dave, at that point.

Dave wasn't so hooked up on the fact that she didn't approach him, just that she didn't thank them for their efforts in trying to locate Summer.

Now R on the other hand, went and spoke with him, as she was also there that day with her daughter IIRC.

Attorney General Armstong also stated:
If an arrest ever does take place, that’s when Armstrong will look at what charges can be filed.

“If it ever got to the point we were ready to consider charges, then of course they would talk to me about what charges and who to charge. And a case like this would generally go to a grand jury,” he explained.

Even though he stays in touch with law enforcement about where they’re at in the investigation, Armstrong is almost at a standstill in his particular role.

I've been expecting CB-W to be arrested for providing an underage boy with alcohol, etc., and who knows what else, as well as charges related to the neglect of her children. I see incarceration in her near future. <modsnip>

A TIMELINE OF EVENTS 5:30 p.m. on June 15, 2021: Summer was planting flowers about 20 feet from her family’s house on Ben Hill Road in the unincorporated community of Beech Creek with her mother and grandmother, her dad told The Times-News in the early days of the investigation. She reportedly went inside and told her three older brothers she wanted to play with her toys in the basement. But when her mother, Candus Wells, came inside a short time later, Summer was nowhere to be found. 6:30 p.m. on June 15, 2021: Summer was reported missing to the Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office.

The timeline doesn’t make sense b/c I speculate both adults (G’ma and CB-W) were snoozing away, and have no idea of an accurate timeline

Interview with Lead Investigator Pruit.

Part 1

Pruitt - There haven't been very many cases like this. I have never worked a missing child case with all these different entities and agencies involved.

My day - I check tipline and voicemail when I first get here. I do phone calls and follow ups on any credible leads I've got. I follow up on anything that I didn't get to a good conclusion the day before. Then I go into normal caseload, of any new cases I've got. Follow-ups on them.

Reporter - They've received nearly 2000 tips.

I will follow up on everything I can to try to bring closure for this.

Reporter - Self-proclaimed online investigators and social media sleuths, have turned this case into a mess of ideas and tips. And tips have come in from everywhere across the US and even overseas. That help, Pruitt says, has led to little more than time wasted.

If these people want to help so much, we always accept applications to certify the individuals :D.

I believe that she would probably be somewhere close by. We've found nothing to lead us to believe that she's been abducted or trafficked out of the area.

I'm not going to let it go cold.

Part 2

Pruitt - It's sporadic, I mean one day you might get five leads, the next couple of days you might not get anything. It's been an active investigation. I've been devoted to since it first occurred.

The wandering away, sneaking off to go play or whatever she may have done. That is a viable option.

People are probably tired of hearing this, all possibilities are on the table. We're not completely eliminating the abduction idea. But there's nothing to lead us to believe that we need to focus on that alone.

She's was like 3ft. 40 lbs. It would be a lot easier for her to get through some of the foliage and she's lower to the ground, smaller body, a lot more flexible.

We have gone through reams and reams of data. We've collected statements. We've chased down every credible lead that has been given to us. And we are still not much further along than when we started. Surveillance videos, gps locations, cell phone tracking, cell phone data, electronic data. Anything that we can think of to get our hands on.

I would hope that she's still alive somewhere, but we also have to be open to the idea that, that is no longer a possibility.
JMO, but this man is totally out of his league. Overwhelmed.

I can't imagine what Detectives are and have been dealing with in trying to locate Summer.
What a mess.
It's their job to handle complicated "family situations". Their excuses just aren't acceptable in my opinion. If they don't know what to do at this point then they need to admit it and hand it over to another agency. JMO

It was obvious to me, at least, that whatever happened to Summer started at the swimming hole. When you see how Candus acted as she got closer to the swimming hole, she was closing down. JMO.

I've never been convinced the red truck is either real, or matters.
If I remember correctly, this information came from Don, who, wasn't even there, according to him.

I think this is the first time I heard they were gardening at 5:30pm. I never thought it was that late.

The report of the red truck came from LE. Both HCSO and the TBI mentioned it.

DW has said some things about the red truck as well. I agree with you that DW wasn't there.

At this point, even though LE has spoken about the red truck, it might as well not exist. The driver is extremely unlikely to come forward, the truck is unlikely to be found, and it possible it never had anything to do with the case other than being in the area.

First for me too. The article says it came from DW in the early days, so I'm going to take it with a pinch of salt. Out of all the different time variations, I've never heard him say she was planting flowers at 5.30.

I thought it came from a neighbor, told to Don, then Don told LE. I could be wrong about that too, but either way, I don't think that truck (if there actually is one) has anything to do with anything.
I think the cause (and person) of Summer's mysterious disappearance is far closer to home.

It keeps coming back around to that time. She got gone at 5:30, people sneak up on the property but not at 5:30,they were planting flowers at 5:30. It was only 2 minutes fixing the knee brace. Wait it's so hard to keep track of time when you're trying to have fun. It was closer to 6:30 that she got gone DW just got confused. Yet it keeps coming back to 5:30. Is that what time CW,called DW? I Keep going back to Leslie Erhart's statement. "Supposedly planting flowers". That speaks volumes to me. Her frustration was thick, and palpable. You can tell she really cares heart, and soul about SUMMER MOON UTAH WELLS. Then RL came out and stated they are not cooperating. So what happened at 5:30,and why wasn't LE called until 6:30???????? Why are they not cooperating??????

Summer Wells’ mother, grandmother respond to sheriff’s comments | WJHL | Tri-Cities News & Weather

The sheriff claimed that the family was “not cooperating right now” and added that the family “has attorneys.” It appears that's not entirely accurate.
Summer’s mother, Candus Bly, did not want to go on camera but did tell News Channel 11 that she has never stopped talking to law enforcement and has not lawyered up. However, she said she could not speak for her husband and Summer’s father, Don Wells, and also thanked those who have searched for Summer.

And the grandma also denies getting an attorney.
“Mr. Lawson stated that Candus and the whole family lawyered up. I can’t speak for Donnie and I know Candus hasn’t because she told me she hasn’t…and I have not,” Harer said
