I’ve looked & I’ve looked & looked on FB, I cannot find any video of her onboard the boat that night?

Maybe look on TikTok?

  • #122
Has anyone found the footage the boat company is talking about?
No, people here keep saying it’s available on FB but I’ve searched & searched & cannot find any footage of her from that night on the boat?

Oh, I don’t have Tik Tok & the posters are all saying FB? I’m a bit confused, is it able to be linked here?

As another poster pointed out. LE has to have the name of every passenger from the cruise. Hopefully they are making progress behind the scenes. We’ve heard from everyone it seems but them.

I’m in the UK and found it easily on FB. It’s on the Missing group too. If it’s the video the boat company are referring to, it shows her dancing and twerking in a small space. To my eye, she looks extremely inebriated and in her own world. Pretty out of it, actually. What I find worrying, is that someone recorded her - I can only think it was because they found what she was doing amusing, or bizarre. Adds more weight to the possibility she was not able to take care of herself.

From the article:

“She was intoxicated, very intoxicated, and she was with some other people,” Jay Munn, a golf cart taxi driver, said.

********
He said he saw Taylor with a man and two women. He claims they asked for a ride, but he was already driving someone.

When he headed back to the riverboats, he said he saw the group on Riverside Drive, where they turned down his offer for a ride.

“I’m like, ‘Hey, do you guys need a ride?’” Munn said. “They were like, ‘No, we’re good, we’re straight.’ From that point, I just went on and found somebody else that needed a ride.”

******
If he is correct in recognizing her, this indicates that she was with her original group after the boat docked.

I'm not able to read the article due to geoblocking, but I have a question. How did the golf cart driver know they were the same people she came with? Did he see them before they got on the boat and again afterward?

He didn't say they were the same people, he only said that there were 3 women and 1 man. We know from other linked articles that she was with two other women and one man that night, so it is a good assumption (though not confirmed) that it was the same two women and one man with her.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Tipton County mother is searching for answers days after her 21-year-old daughter disappeared after going on a Memphis riverboat cruise.

********
“Her cousin called and said he went down to meet her, and when he arrived he was told that Tamia was unable to be found. He asked them then, ‘What do you mean?’ The young lady then stated, ‘We do not know where she’s at,'” she said.

She suspects foul play was involved but right now, Memphis Police aren’t saying much.

We did see investigators searching the area where the boat docked earlier Wednesday. When we asked, they said this is an ongoing investigation.

So much hinky about this whole thing.

In one of the earlier articles, she allegedly worked with these people. Where did they work? How long had she known them? From things her mother said, I got the impression that her mother at least wasn't familiar with them.

MOO - If you are waiting for a friend who is in a bathroom, why would you then leave her (Knowing she’s still in the bathroom) & take her phone with you & get off the boat?? - The more I hear, the more suspicious of her friends I become. IMO
*I had this on my fridge for so long when my girls were teens and brought it back out a couple of years ago for my granddaughters to always remember…

MOO - What I also find extremely odd is that it was her 21st birthday & she’s celebrating on a boat with work colleagues - My 21st was spent with family & closest friends (I am in another country but celebrating your 21st without your nearest & dearest really seems strange to me). IMO
In the USA, it's common to spend 21st birthday with friends. Across the country, 21 is the legal drinking age so it's not unusual for the birthday person to celebrate in a bar with friends.

One of the work friends, Kuandera Jenkins said he has nothing to do with Taylor’s disappearance and all he wants is to find his friend.

“It’s a lot of rumors going around, is a lot of people saying that me and two of my friends have drugged her, we killed her, it’s too many rumors going around,” said Jenkins.

Jenkins said earlier Saturday Tamia drove from Brownsville to Jackson to go shopping, ”[At] 7:30 p.m., that’s when we all got dressed and was heading our way to Memphis. Tamia was already drinking. She had a little bottle with her and she was already taking shots and we were smoking,” said Jenkins.

Around 9 p.m., Jenkins said they arrived, parked on Beale Street, and walked the strip. At 11:15 p.m., Jenkins said he met up with more friends at Memphis Riverboats.

While waiting to board, he says Tamia met someone in line, “Them two were talking and whatever and he was telling her ‘Oh, you a Virgo, she’s a Virgo,’ so they started laughing and talking so he gave her some money to buy her a drink so she can celebrate her birthday,” said Jenkins.

He said at some point Tamia walked alone to the bathroom and was gone for more than 15 minutes.”I walked down there to the first floor and I was talking to Canesha and Shanquila and I asked them where is Tamia? They looked and said she was just right here. So we all split it up and searched the whole boat while the boat was moving looking for Tamia.”

”I’m praying she didn’t fall off that boat. I think somebody snatched her or I think somebody [or] some people on that boat got something to do with it,” said Jenkins.
So if Kuandera, Canesha & Shanquila couldn't find Tamia on the boat, why when they left did they not contact the police? Or ask the boat staff to report a missing person? I believe it was Tamia's mother who contacted the police on the Sunday morning to report her missing.

What did the 3 of them do after the boat trip? Did they carry on drinking or did they go home?

I’m truly surprised that people leave a friend behind when they all go out together.

I can’t count the number of times I’ve left a party (sometimes early) to take a friend home, especially if they had been drinking. In fact I’d take them right into their apartment to make sure she got in safely and lock the door.

“True” friends stay and ensure their friends are OK.

Leaving a friend, taking their phone, and just leaving is so strange.

How about she hooked up with someone? Maybe left her phone in error? They take her phone for safe keeping? They all figure she’s a big girl, it’s her Birthday she can do whatever she wants.

This isn’t going to have a happy ending.

Did they give Tamia's phone to her cousin when he showed up??

I stand corrected! This article states that the friends did contact the police - i had read previously that it was Tamia's mother who had contacted the police:

'He (Kuandera) said at some point Tamia walked alone to the bathroom and was gone for more than 15 minutes.”I walked down there to the first floor and I was talking to Canesha and Shanquila and I asked them where is Tamia? They looked and said she was just right here. So we all split it up and searched the whole boat while the boat was moving looking for Tamia.”

Jenkins said the group of friends searched the entire boat and around 1:45 a.m. when the cruise docked, they called police and Tamia’s family. After a search of the boat and the bars on Beale Street Tamia was still nowhere to be found.

”I’m praying she didn’t fall off that boat. I think somebody snatched her or I think somebody [or] some people on that boat got something to do with it,” said Jenkins'.

So now she didn't go to the bathroom on the 2nd floor but the story is the friends couldn't find her on the boat? How did they get her phone then?

Earlier reports said that the friends had picked up her phone (which she left on a table) while Tamia went to the bathroom.

I don't believe there has been any mention of her phone since then. If her friends had her phone then presumably they would have handed it over to her family, but i haven't seen that reported anywhere.
