A West Tennessee man is back home after being rescued from a snake-infested swamp in the Big Eddy area in Haywood County earlier this week.

Haywood County Sheriff Billy Garrett said emergency crews from several agencies and the county searched for Roper from both the air and the ground for hours, and found him Tuesday morning with his dog still by his side.
