William Harrell was last seen at his residence in Sharps Chapel, TN, on June 23, 2025. He left on foot for an unknown destination wearing only underwear and no shirt. He had reportedly trimmed his beard into a short style shortly before his disappearance. Despite extensive searches of several hundred acres in the surrounding area, his whereabouts remain unknown.

There is a William (no middle name or DOB) Harrell in Union County (where he was last seen) with numerous charges including public intoxication, indecent exposure, driving on a remoked license, theft and drugs but without a middle name or DOB in the court record it could simply be someone in his county with his name. I could not find a middle initial for William, even on various FB pages.

His middle initial is B as his name is Boyd. Very little info on this case out there news coverage from a local TV station in about a 15 second blurb. Family has a Facebook page. Sharp's Chapel has about 400 people and the nearest city is Knoxville Tn. Thanks to the person who posted the link I forgot it in my original post.

Also the images are generated from a single image that had the long beard and about 2/3 of his face. I rotated the face to face forward and gave a shortened beard based on the family's statement.

I live in the area and would be glad to ask any questions of the LE or the family. This LE is good to work with and the family needs help.

I really feel for the family. It's obvious given his history he has been struggling with drugs and/or alcohol issues which has impacted his behavior. He needs help and I'm sure they want that for him. Currently there is an open court case for him, but the hearing was rescheduled so he is not in any sort of trouble with the court. Previous cases are all closed, although he did have his probation revoked a few times over the years, likely due to the ongoing drug issues. I hope he is warm and safe somewhere and will seek out help from a loved one.

He had also been arrested in Knox County Tennessee a little before this (Jan 26, 2024). Knox County is the next county below Union County and Sharp's Chapel. Included is his mugshot from there. I would say he may have skipped but it wasn't his M.O. He always showed up to court as the record shows. And the report of him in underwear just makes me think...Can't put two and two together on this one.
