To all the people that cant fathom a 10 year old could not commit murder.

I don't understand it either. Burke was cleared as a suspect in 1999.
Not saying BDI. Facts don’t lie though. He overheard details to the crime is often the explanation for his knowledge. He’s 9. His sister was just murdered in his house. He was not traumatized.
Let’s ask ourselves why JR sweater fiber was found in JBR labia? Why did he rush directly to the basement when directed?
Why did the rn writer use their pad, pen and then put it back in its rightful place. Put the rn on the staircase where author left notes to maids. Who knew these details? And of coarse there are those fibers within the ligature.
Somebody could have come into the house and someone could have also possibly left w/BR bike that night. Where did it go?
FBI was there that morning and soon left and all was forgotten. No one in that house that night heard or awoke to anything during all this .. staging.

He was not traumatized.
Dr. Bernhard noted that his affect was flat. She didn't comment on whether or not he was traumatized. She chalked his lack of affect up to either shock, a lack of attachment to his family or a reaction to Patsy's being very emotional.

Yeah, let's ask ourselves.

Yeah, let's ask ourselves.
Yes, Dr. Bernhard notation of BR being flat is his effect is interesting in this case. Perhaps he is on the spectrum. Not saying good/back if this is the case. Just a consideration.
I personally would be freaked out if I woke up Christmas morning too discovering my sibling missing.
He also said he had to work himself up into a cry when he found out?
He knew to much about the actual crime. As in strangulation.
Who took his bike that night and why? Where did they go?

And we agree about JR fiber evidence being found. There is only one conclusion here as to involvement. She had been wiped down postmortem.

The ransom note was written by the Prime of Miss Jean Brodie.

No matter what, here
all 3 were involved.

The official statements from the FBI have consistently reiterated their commitment to collaborating with local authorities until the case is solved, while respecting the lead agency's jurisdiction.

This case went straight to the top, covered up and sealed, MOO. How did those phone records disappear? Where did they go? The size 12 Bloomie’s package? So many unanswered questions!

I believe a 10 year old can kill. But the level of sophistication of the JRB case seem outside the mentality of a preteen. If Burke did it, an adult put a LOT of work in to obscure the details.

Indeed

I don't believe Burke was involved.
You have taken this stance since I can remember. It is okay. Obviously, most of the details have been hidden in this case. So all we really have is the guessing game.
For example, why did JR request his golf clubs in the dead of winter? Where did he go for over an hour (while he picked up the mail) located inside the house by the front door?
Why didn’t PR come rushing when she initially heard “Call 911”, by FW? I could just go on and on.
IMO, it is a huge coverup and yes, all 3 people alive in that house the next morning were involved in some form or fashion.

Just so we're clear, your stance is that the crime was a group activity with all 3 surviving family members acting as participants.

After years of watching/reading True Crime not only is it possible it has occurred.
That's why I wouldn't dismiss Burke in the JBR case.
Just recently a 10-year-old boy admitted he shot a man when he was just 7.
As posted above. and in another article, he was RELEASED, and won't be CHARGED. So...he is FREE to commit more crimes:
BBM

Side note:
I still think about Burke Ramsey WRT JBR and the deal about pineapple. Burke had a bowl of pineapple (if my memory serves), sitting by himself in the kitchen/breakfast area. JBR joined him and wanted some of his pineapple... I think Burke possibly pushed JBR off her seat, and she fell to the floor and her head was badly injured. Don't know if he meant such a bad injury or not. And then the rest... JMO, but I could be way off on this... Time goes on... Case closed.

This situation re the 10 year old above is different, it seems -- apparently he was released and won't be charged for what he apparently did. Hmmm. Apparently the case is closed (?) for now... We'll see.
SMH, as I have to do so often.

Yes, kids kill kids, but the extent that the parents (or just Patsy) went to cover up the initial injuries (making sure JBR was dead, multiple drafts for the ransom note, etc, etc) speaks to desperate self preservation.

If Burke had injured JBR, even intentionally, there would have been a call to 911. He was a kid and wouldn't have been in real jeopardy. Patsy, on the other hand........
would PR have known that, though? it strikes me as possible she didn't know/realize in the middle of the night that he wouldn't be in legal jeopardy. ...and that by the time she did know it, she'd committed multiple crimes covering up for him, and would have had to stick with her story to keep herself out of trouble.

to be clear, i don't think BDI is the most likely possibility.

Why yes, that is my stance. Although there may have also been a visitor of the family's there that fateful night.

We can’t dismiss JR shirt fiber found in JB labia postmortem.
Somehow we have to explain why BR knew so many details about the actual crime. If we go with: he simply overheard talk of such things … why did he cover his head (as not to be seen) when Dr. Bernhard interviewed him. He stated he knew what happed. Two days after the crime took place he was over heard by ST telling DS how JB was strangled. The autopsy report hadn’t been released yet. But BR knew about it. And again, where and why did his bicycle disappear to that Christmas night? During BR second recorded interview by a psychiatrist he hid his hands and feet and curled up in a fetal position. Actions speak louder than words.

I could post stories about parents murdering their children all day.
Sadly, yes, it happens. Why, why why, we ask.
Exactly! That case made me think of the JBR case and I came here to see if anyone else had commented on it. Kids certainly can commit murders. Some are pre-meditated and some are probably situations where the child did not necessarily intend to cause a death but their actions were so severe toward another individual that it did cause a death.

There have been cases in modern history and probably cases throughout all history; we just didn't hear about them until the modern news era emerged.
I also thought about the JBR case and Burke asking for the pineapple when they got back home. He was having the pineapple in the kitchen/breakfast area, and I can see JBR coming into the kitchen/breakfast area and trying to take some of the pineapple from Burke's bowl. Burke refused and it was on... Burke pushing her away, her falling badly to the floor, and probably that is where the head injury occurred.
No fixing to that, sadly.
So, Mom & Dad had a real situation on their hands. How to figure a reason for JBR's head/skull injury. The parents had a lot of work to do. "Where do we go from here?" JMO.

We don't know who set the pineapple out or who other than JBR had been eating or had wanted to eat it. It could've been Patsy, who's prints are also on the dish.

JBR sustained an 8.5 inch skull fracture. The crack started at the base of her skull and extended to almost the bridge of her nose. She couldn't have sustained that severe of an injury by having been pushed away from the table by another child.

Dr. Bernhard believed Burke had either experienced or had been himself, exposed to abuse. She didn't believe Burke committed the homicide.

As for the second interview, Steve Thomas watched it from behind two-way glass and didn't think Burke even knew anything.

If BR was abused, that begs the question of who abused him and did the information come out to the Grand Jury. If he was abused outside the home, and that was revealed to the GJ, that would look very different than If they thought he was being abused in the home.
